I use this unit for background imagery while I work in my office. The pictures and sounds are excellent. The unit works smoothly and easily. The repeating DVD plays and replays without distracting me.

This DVD player is an excellent value for the money! A bonus plus is that it plays some of my old DVD's that previously would not play in other DVD players that I have had (including an old Sony!. I am quite pleased with the picture quality & ease of operation. ABT Rocks!

Great DVD player for standard TVs. Requires RF modulator for old TVs, otherwise it has video and left/right audio composite connections. Has no S-Video connection though. But it works well.

Size was of importance in finding the right DVD for my installation. I have always had good luck with Sony electronics so picking this product was a no brainer.

For me, this is the perfect media player, and how could you beat the price?? I can use just about any kind of media in it and get perfect picture and perfect sound. It is a nice, compact unit and was simple and uncomplicated to set up. I can't speak on consistency of performance because I have only had this for a couple of weeks, but so far, it is absolutely perfect - I highly recommend it for price and performance.

I think this will stand up to my two little guys, ages 4 and 6. They broke the last 2 dvd players I had but this one seems sturdier.

I have a 15" TV on a wall mount in my model train layout room. I have a very small phone stand in a corner, below the TV. This beautiful little Sony player fits with room to spare.

Based on a few weeks of use, I consider it a great product, and an excellent buy for the price. This particular DVD player was out of stock at other online electronics stores I checked on, but abt did have it in stock at a competitive price. We don't have an HD TV so the picture quality is as good as we've ever had. Also, this is the only DVD player we own. The unit is slim and takes up considerably less space than our old DVD player. We use it for watching Netflix movies and TV series on DVD. The only minor inconvenience is that the disc tray cannot be opened or closed remotely. It's not an important inconvenience for us. So far, the player has met all of our needs.
