I use this to transfer my 8mm tapes to DVD.
The only thing that is not good is that you can not choose the recording speed.

I used this product to record VCR home movies to DVD. The recorder is very easy to use and the mini TV screen makes it real easy to see what you're doing. The only problem is that the DVD'd I recorded does not play on all the DVD players in my house. Plays on some but not the others. I'm probably doing something wrong but don't have the time or patience to figure it out.
