I read alot of reviews and it was supposed to be one of the best on the market. The digital Stream I bought at [...] which was $20 cheaper is just as good if not better and has a better tv quide. The Signal strength is just average and was supposed to be one of the best.

If possible, use the audio/video cable hookup from the converter to the tv. This worked much better than passing the signal thru just using the antenna cable. It may elimanate needing to upgrade your antenna.

Did alot of research, this one seemed to be one of
the best choices however, after purchasing this
one I am not that impressed.

Only two channels were greatly enhanced & a joy
to watch. Others that I receive are only pbs
educational but there is a delay with the voices
speech also a great deal of break up/inteference.
I do not receive any local channels.

My second coupon will purchase another converter box & perhaps invest in another antenna.
This box has not worked that well for me as it has for others.

I use this Zenith Digital TV Converter on 2 analog TV's in my home and the hookup and setup is so easy. The picture is crisp and clear. I love the on screen Signal Strength Indictor and on TV Guide that is available with this Zenith Converter Box. The overall quality of this product is excellent.

I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's working quite well. I know I need a better uhf antenae, for a few stations, but I'm now getting stations I could barely see before.I'd have been happier if it came w/ schematics for various hook ups with vcr or dvd configurations, but I found those online on my own.

Had a good first test of using a converter. The reception was not always good, since I am using an inside antenna. But the channels that did come in were crystal clear. I'm hoping that some channels I could not receive will come in stronger in February at the changeover, as I have heard will likely be the case. The unit itself performed as advertised and I would recommend it to others.

We use this Zenith converter box in the bedroom for a 21" Panasonic TV. We're 11 mi north of downtown Chicago, and I thought for sure we'd need to upgrade from our rabbit-ear antenna to get decent signals, but I was wrong: The box works surprisingly well; I don't think I'll bother buying a new antenna.

The converter box has its own volume control (on the remote), and it takes a while to go the 100 levels from 0 to max volume. Unfortunately, even at max volume, we have to turn the TV sound way up to hear things. Before watching a DVD, we have to find the TV's remote and turn down the volume -- otherwise we get blasted.

The volume issue is my only (mild) complaint about this tuner box. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

Hook up was very easy....only took a few minutes to program itself...picture was great even with an indoor digital antenna. I even took this into work and tried it out on a television there with great results.

This is a good unit and will solve the upcoming changeover in Feb. '09. The price is fair and therefore a good value. My only complaint so far is that the remote is too small. It is difficult to use in low light settings with the black on black coloring. It would be nice if it lit up when using...

We have about 5 UHF TV stations on antenna, which were snowy, ghosty, fading in and out all the time, as we live in thick woods, blocking the signals. I only got these two Zenith HD converter boxes to prepare for when analog stopped in Feb. 09. Was I surprised! We now can get 17 channels, all slick as a button, no fading, no snow or glitter, and NO ghosts or double images. I have been a TV repairman for 50 years, and I can't figure that one out. All channels come in with equal quality of video and sound, just like digital satellite reception. I would strongly recommend this Zenith DTT901 converter box.

The channel buttons are at the very bottom of the remote, making it clumsy to change channels while holding the device. Also, even at 100%, the volume is too low; need to compensate by increasing the volume on the TV itself.

Don't wait till 2009 to use this -- it gives an immediate and outstanding improvement in reception right now, as well as access to an expanded line-up of digital channels.

Easy to install. Best picture I ever seen for no paying for TV WOW. Looks just like Satalight Tv. Has a guide to show you what is on tv and what is comming on next.show info on the show. Have so many channels it is unbeliveable I have point channels like 3.1 through 5 for all the channels.

This is a good alternative to buying a new Digital TV with a DTV tuner built-in, only if your not interested in High Definition.....

The unit delivers great picture quality (Standard Definition) and simple to operate. Works best with a Zenith TV, where the provided remote could control some functions of the TV as well.

I took one of ours out of the box and had it set up in under 5 minutes one morning getting ready for work.

My spouse who is an EXTEMELY Technically challenged individual, set the second one up. Yes, it took him longer and he had to read the instructions but he did it by himself with no problems.

Improved picture over a regular antenna. I got all the channels and some extras from San Diego. However when I used it at my dad's house, I either got ABC or CBS. I could'nt get both at the same time, but otherwise I still received most channels. A definite improvement over regular TV with just an antenna.

Box comes with Video and Audio Output (left/right) cable and RF cable. I used the RF push-on cable that was included to hook it up to TV. The remote found my TV brand (Sanyo) and has analog pass-through, which I need to get PBS, as now I don't get PBS channel with DTV. So, I easily turn off the converter box, and then get analog PBS. Our simple, barely adequate homemade antennae and living in hilly area is reason for poor reception. Without box, I get two stations, ABC and PBS. Now I get 3 and they are all ABC affiliates, bluck!
The remote has mute and I can turn the TV off with it. Remote shows current program information (display), which is a nice feature.

I get better reception with our flimsy antenna when the atmosphere is cool, and or cloudy. Signal breaks up during the heat of the day, but that is an antenna-related issue. More stations may appear when the actual switch is made in 2009 according to dtv dot com FAQ's.

This is my first DTV converter. I have to admit to being skeptical before buying. In the end I was very happy. The hookup was a breeze. The picture is excellent. We had good analog reception before, but this is even better (fewer minor ghosts, etc.). We also get double the channels we had.

I wanted a unit with manual channel set so I could tune questionable channels. This unit has manual channel set (however, the scan channel set works very well too).

I also wanted analog pass through. This unit has analog pass through. All you do is turn it off, and voila, analog on your TV.

Worked exactly as stated. No analog signal throughput though. Also be sure your TV set has RCA inputs for the sound. I had no problems, but my daughters TV does not have RCA inputs so I'll have to try something else.
