I'm extremely impressed by the picture quality, ease of use, fast set up, and excellent feature set on this television. The color needed almost no adjustment out of the box (it was just slightly oversaturated, but easy to tweak), the contrast is excellent, the picture is sharp, the black levels are gorgous. The viewing angle is quite wide and you don't lose the picture if watching from slightly above or below as can sometimes happen with LCDs. Even though the base doesn't swivel, the tv is light enough to turn slightly, as needed, but it really isn't necessary since the picture doesn't fade out at the sides. The QAM tuner is picking up a number of cable and HD channels only using a direct coax input (no cable set top box), and it also got excellent digital ATSC over the air reception when I tested it with an antenna. Also, standard definition images don't look horrible (as on some other tvs) so some older shows and lower quality recordings or broadcasts dont look terrible. Sound is ok considering it has small built in speakers. I'm really amazed by how good this tv looks even in the day in a bright room. Remote is easy to use (except the channel changer and the volume rocker seem to be reversed (left/right) compared to other remotes... so when we first got it we kept clicking the volume when trying to change a channel! Menu options are well thought out and not too complicated. This TV has surpassed all my expectations and I had read some rave reviews, including a high rating from consumer reports. If forced to find something to critique, I would have liked a headphone jack, and I would have preferred a bit more extensive picture adjustment options. It would be nice to simply ADD new channels by rescanning while retaining the ones already locked in (and still keep the 'favorites' already selected), but the favorites become blank if you rescan. I also would have liked a second antenna-in option, which would make it easier to toggle between cable input and ATSC over the air via antenna, but instead we've just added a little adapater to toggle the two coax inputs. These are just small quibbles, it's definitely a five star tv. Panasonic has discontinued this model and it's getting hard to find. If you're in the market for a 26 inch TV (the perfect size for a small living room, bedroom, dorm room, etc) and plan to view it from 3 to 8 feet away, this one is really hard to beat. Highly recommended.
The TV arrived within a few days and shipping was free. I was a bit concerned to see it in the Panasonic box (not double boxed) thinking that the TV might not have enough protection, but it was in perfect condition. Customer service was A+ - I even received a price guarantee rebate when I found the product for a lower price elsewhere within 30 days. I deliberated over this purchase for a long time, but it was a perfect shopping experience. Excellent service!

I love this TV. It works especially well for me because I live in an apartment with very small rooms. I didn't want the TV to be the focal point and this size is perfect for my living room. Simple to use, nice design and a beautiful, clear, crisp picture with great resolution. I would recommend this to anyone for use in a bedroom, or small living room. The only drawback for some people may be that the base does not swivel. Not a big deal for me.
Delivery was more than prompt. I received the TV way ahead of schedule. It arrived in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this vendor.

No earphone input possible - a great disadvantage for late-night viewing.
Some programs and dvds have a distorted image - wide and squashed, quite disagreeable.
I like the HD clarity on programs that run on HD.
I have to reset from HD1 to TV after every dvd use - a nuisance.

This is a great TV. I have it in my bedroom & I'm really enjoying it. The TV has about the best picture I've ever seen on an LCD set. HD resolution is fantastic. I'm particularly impressed with the wide viewing angle on this set. Consumer Reports rates this as their top pick for an LCD TV of this size. I can see why. I would strongly recommend this TV to anybody looking for a set of this size!!

A relatively light, easy to use TV with a nice picture and decent sound. If you want HD stations, you'll have to buy an HD converter. Also, the TV doesn't swivel side-to-side or up-and-down, but the screen retains its good image from fairly wide angles.

Small NYC apartment. No cable so rabbitears with an amp. Works superbly and the 35 yr old set is in the dumpster.
ABT was excellent. This was a CR Best Buy. It was generally unavailable but they had it in stock.
Their computer was down so I called direct. They could not have been nicer or more efficient.

I use in bedroom where I mainly watch TV. After three weeks of use I am very satisfied. The only thing I worry about is if I should have added the extended warranty.

Very satisfied in all respects!I could have bought the 32" unit locally, but we just didn’t want a huge TV on this dresser in our bedroom, this size is perfect. This replaced a 21" CRT TV and the image quality of this new flat screen wildly exceeds my expectations in comparison. The added bonus is that despite this significantly larger screen, it takes up much less space on the dresser! This TV was top rated and recommended by Consumer Reports. If you check out their ratings, all these Panasonics rate very well. The quality and detail of the new Digital TV signals is off the charts!Another thing I appreciate about this TV is it’s simple clean, unadorned styling. [...] hope to buy my next TV from them.

sleek simple desgin is an easy fit. Product is used for major tv night viewing. Audio and visuals are phenomenal.

Wworks very well with new Wii my kids bought me so I could use Wii Fit. I'm not a "gamer" at 60+ but am trying some of the other games since the TV works well with the unit. It was compact enough to fit into an existing cabinet although I had to raise the TV a little higher to get the best level of viewing. It's a good buy

I researched Televisions and Prices; called manufacturer(Panasonic), read Reviews and settled on AbtElectronics (with fingers crossed!). I must say the experience has been 100% terrific. [...];[...]. The Panasonic LCD TV TC26LX85 turned out to be everything and more than I hoped for.Pros; Excellent picture, Even With basic no box SD cable!( look forward to HD one Day... Great viewing Angle ( very important); You Can View This Screen From Sides With excellent Results-(A problem with many brands-read Consumer reports magazine). Audio is excellent and packs plenty of rich sound.Has Useful Options For Different conditions.Great Connectivity and Features; Especially for A Smaller TV.....Cons; The Sleep Timer Has To Be Activated Through the Menu- Should Have Been A Dedicated Button For This. minor but more work.The Remote Is A Long Rectangular Shape- Should Be More Ergonomic For Smaller Hands.The Base Is Fixed with no swivel.These are minor issues. I highly recommend panasonic after doing much too many hours of research or reviews and opinions.
