The TV looks excellent hanging on top of the fireplace. With the ultra slim wallmount, it is < 2" from the wall. It is in a very bright living room with lots of natural light and glare is not a problem even though it has a glossy finish. The Blue-Rays and HD Satellite receiver makes the picture "jaw-dropping". It has very limited connectivity to non-HD devices, so use it only with HD components, if you can.

The set is gorgeous. The thinness really needs to be seen to be believed. The image, in "Movie" mode is by far the most accurate I've ever seen out of the box and required very little calibration.

It has plenty of connection options, but I'd really recommend getting a proper receiver with HDMI switching to do your connection. It's a lot easier to wall mount with only one HDMI cable and the power cable to contend with.

Which leads to the one problem with this set. I've seen two of them unboxed now and both leaned visibly to the left on their stand. This is also where the connectors are so I suspect the weight of the unit is higher due to the control board. The stand isn't sufficiently rigid to support the weight difference. If you're at all type-A, this will drive you nuts. Of course, wall-mounting eliminates this problem entirely and this set is so thin that I really recommend going that route.

This TV is the best on the market! Picture is crisp and clear. Sound is good even though others say it is not so good. For regular programs sound is vrey good. Buy it look for a good deal on sale!

[...]While the TV was easy to set up, when we added a Samsung surround sound system, that was not simple (for older folks). We had to have someone come in and connect the blu ray system to the TV and set up access to the internet

What a treat to have this in my home. Can't get away from it. Best TV I've ever owned, and that goes back almost to when TV was invented!
