Comments about Sony Sony 46" BRAVIA XBR LCD TV In Medium Silver:

I spent a lot of time researching LCD Televisions. I was very worried about indoor/outdoor ambient light glare. Put it this way, if you take a very bright light and shine it 2 inches from the screen then you will notice glare. Other than that, you couldn't pick out glare if you tried.

Picture/color/etc is wonderful and i have never seen a better tv including plasmas.

I just can't wait to get a blue ray disc player. Regular DVDs and non HD channels look surprisingly good though.

Bought it in December[...]did a great job with set up. Also reccomend the Sony ...75... DVD player with HDMI. Incredible picture in HD bcst. & DVD, excellent intuitive menus, sound is solid though I use a surround system. HD feels like you could walk right through the screen. You can usually use the menu's to get a reasonable reg def picture. We are very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Sony Sony 46" BRAVIA XBR LCD TV In Medium Silver:

This set and its JVC equivalent were the only large screen LCD flat sets Consumer Reports recommended. Sony's was more attractive. Majority of problems occur when you interface with HD provider -- knowing which remote does what is challenging for those lacking or resisting technology. Great set

Comments about Sony Sony 46" BRAVIA XBR LCD TV In Medium Silver:

Setup was very easy. After you turn the unit on, it easily steps you through the setup process. I was amazed on how many Over the air Digital channels that it found during the setup process. Make sure you have two people to setup the unit because it's pretty heavy and hard to manuever around.

HD picture quality superb. Beautiful colors, sharp and crisp picture. Finally, a tv with decent built in speaker sound. Standard (non HD) channels a bit fuzzy, but overall fairly decent.

Comments about Sony Sony 46" BRAVIA XBR LCD TV In Medium Silver:

I was shopping for a plasma until I found that I have no tolerance for glare. I can see no glare on this screen, even with all the lamps on and the window blinds open. This TV has gorgeous styling, and DVD movies look great. However, the whole family is a little disappointed when they watch their regular TV shows, because other than the handful of HDTV cable channels, the rest look a lot grainier on the Sony than they did on our old tube TV's. Not Sony's fault though, that's just the way the technology works.
