This is our base TV and we use it for normal watching and movies via our new Panasonic Blu Ray player which is also fantastic.

The picture quality is outstanding! You can't go wrong with a Panasonic Plasma. They are the best in the industry. If you are concerned about glare, there is no TV that will elimate this despite what they say, plasma or LCD. However, Panasonic's anti-glare technology really helps. Overall glare is minimal to moderate during the day, but not annoying. You don't notice unless you are looking for it. My plasma is in a very bright room. Think twice before you buy an LCD thinking that glare won't be a problem. Some of the LCD's have have high-gloss coats on them that are more reflective than Plasma's. The only negative on this TV is the sound. You definitely want to connect to a receiver or sound bar. The speakers are weak. I would assume that most that buy this TV would use a receiver anyway. Great Product!!! I mounted this to a Sanus Articulating mount that extends 25 inches at full extension. I can position this tv just about any way possible for optimal viewing angles.

I use this TV mostly for gaming and watching DVDs. Excellent for both purposes.

I've noticed a number of commenters saying they think the THX and standard settings are too dark. Personally, I like them. In fact, I find the "Vivid" and "Game" settings to be too bright. I have this TV in my basement, however, so the lighting is muted.

it is tough to buy a new tv, knowing that in a couple years it may be obsolete. bought this tv to replace a 40inch lcd that was only 2 years old. i wasn't too happy about it at first but wow what an upgrade (from my sony 1080p lcd) the picutre is amazing, almost comes to life with bluray

Primary use is TV (connected to AT&T Uverse box) and a Panasonic Blue Ray HTIB. No complaints thus far.

Great value this TV has most of the features of the V10 other than some picture settings most people won't use and a slightly different look to the frame. I didn't think the V10 features were worth the additional $$'s.

I replaced a three year old pioneer that my son through a matchbox car through; i don't think the picture quality is quite as good as the pioneers' but they don't make them anymore except at very high end.

I have to say, ABT and the tv are great. I bought it one day[...]TV is picture-perfect. I use it for HD TV and Blu-Ray. While most depend on the source, you can really appreciate the HD, no question.Blu-Ray player is great as well.My only "Con" and it's minor is the receiving beam port for the remote is at the bottom center of the tv at a location that is blocked by my center channel speaker. I actually just moved the speaker over which suits me actually better but it may not for you.A great buy no question.

We love it. It is just the right size for our den. The pictures are great. Takes watching sports on tv to a new level. Now if we could just get the commentary to the same level, life would be almost perfect.
