This is a great little tv. It is hard to find a universal remote to work with it if you need a second one. I would buy another one.

The TV is the perfect size for my work out room. The picture is very good, it's an easy set-up and has a digitial converter, all great stuff. The one draw back is the sound quality, many stations need to turn the volume way up and the sound is very analog sounding no seperation and not base or high ranges. Sometimes you can't get it loud enough to hear some stations.

The sound is so sub-standard, we bought
another small TV and will keep this as a spare.
It would make a good door-stop.

Bought this set to prepare for the big change to digital, replacing one I had in the bedroom without cable. So far so good. Picture is great - most digital channels coming in fine with simple rabbit ear antenna. Small enough to schlep into the kitchen when I want to watch it in there.

We needed to replace our Mom's old analog TV that she used in her kitchen with one that was digital-ready, and the Haier fit the bill. The size was right, it works great, and Mom's happy.

I'd never experienced such prompt delivery. I was surprised and very pleased, because I ordered so close to the Christmas deadline. This was standard delivery, too, by the way-- nothing rushed or special. And the product arrived in excellent condition. Thank you ABT!

I use 1 T.V in my son's room and 1 in my exercise room.I don't have cable and both T.V's work great on rabbit ears.

This TV makes a great replacement for a bedroom
and for the switch to digital tv. It is very easy to set up and the controls make it very simple
to adjust the set to your tastes. It makes for
a very cost effective replacement, if you need

This TV is great for a child's room or bedroom or any small place. It has a real good picture but the speakers aren't so great. I cannot get all of the local stations but do think I need a different set of antennas. Will see what happens in 2009. This is the second TV I have purchased from ABT and they are great to work with. Will always consider them first when buying electronics

I bought the TV for my kitchen to replace a Sony TV that I had for many years. The picture quality is very good. It does require some space - not as copact as a flat screen but at 1/3 the price.

Awful sound quality.Shrill, tinny sound.

Needed to replace small kitchen TV with new one that would fit in small built-in unit with limited dimensions so I picked this one. It was the only one I could find now that most TVs are all flat screen and none with these dimensions. The sound quality is so high pitched and shrill that it is hard to listen to this set. If I could find another brand TV this size I would throw this one away even though it's brand new and replace it with another brand. There is no adjustment on this set for sound qulaity so I cannot reduce the treble or add more Bass. My grandkids can watch it from time to time but I'll never turn it on. Too hard to listen to. Would NEVER recommend this. Won't buy another Haier product EVER if this is an indication of their quality control.

We purchased this television for our kitchen - didn't want to put an expensive flat screen where it could easily get splattered with something, and we wanted to be able to move it easily to the left or right to change our viewing angle. This works great. It's small enough to fit under our kitchen cabinets, easy to use, and an inexpensive digital option. We are very happy with our purchase.

I needed a small DTV without the bells & whistles. New to Digital TV and use an antenna. Good so far, the digital issue needs help probably with a better antenna. I'm getting "no signals" often, but let's see what happens in 2009. The TV itself is great analog-sharp design, easy reamote. Set up was ok,[...]The manual really didn't detail the little stuff well - or I'm not tech savvy- [...] There aren't too many if any, small DTV's out there, so this is not bad- again, for DTV- find the right antenna. The Haier 13" Silver Tube TV was so easy to hook up on my Satellite Receiver. The picture is fantastic. The sound is a little different than most small portables but well worth the money.

Replacement for a similiar Haier

On some of the channels, it is necessary to "double click" the remote, meaning the first time it is just a fuzzy screen and 2nd time the picture and sound come on. On volume, it seems that from 1 to 8 the sound seems to be the same.
Color and clarity are perfect as it comes out of the box. There is also a slight "time delay" when clicking from one station to the other. It seems to go blank for a second before the next station comes into view.

Delivery was prompt. The first shipment arrived and the TV was cracked on top and front side, but ABT resolved it quickly, and gave me return instructions at no cost to me. The customer service was excellent, no problems there at all.

When hooked up to vcr/dvd recorder as i have and that is selected Sound quality not very good but haven't really tried yet to figure out why could be a minor tweak, we shall see, picture quality is fantastic.

Hard to find a small 13 to 15' UNIT FOR A KITCHEN. Most stores want 200 to 300 hundred dollars for that size set.
This is a tube unit, but well serves the purpose I needed it for.
