Comments about BDI BDI Icon Series Swivel Flat Panel TV Stand:

This stand is deep enough for a good powered center speaker in a shelf or a narrow one (e.g. a satellite) in front of the flat panel, with the TV sitting on the glass shelf. The shelves are wide enough for a normal component, not quite wide enough for two side-by-side, so it's not designed to really hold the entire entertainment system, just the TV, speaker and integrated tuner or receiver/DVD system.

But if you have your main components on a different rack, as we do, you have a LOT more freedom. Now you can ROTATE or swivel the TV to point to your current seating position. We have ours pointing one way when in the dining room and about 45-degrees different when in the living room. And it's a great looking stand too.

To help with this, the base has adjustable feet so you can balance it perfectly, and the integrated cable management (slots, holes and velcros) works well to make it look nicer too.

The only real downside is that a flat panel display is much narrower than the stand; they could have made it thinner. But that does mean it can hold beefy components.
