This is a fine camera for the casual photographer to use for home, family, or pet pictures. The large LCD display renders an accurate image of what the exposure will be. It's much larger than the one on my older L2, which is partly why I bought it. Very few adjustments - if any - are ever needed to take pictures in different settings. The images are crisp, and battery life is fairly long. On the negative side, adjustments for different lighting conditions are limited, so this is not a camera for the serious photagrapher or seasoned professional. Also, Nikon changed its design by placing the memory expansion slot in the battery compartment. In order to remove the chip, you almost always have to deal with the batteries falling out. This isn't a big issue for those who insert the chip once and plug the camera directly into a computer to transfer photos, but I like to use separate memory chips for different photo sessions. All in all, however, if you don't need or like playing with the bells and whistles, this is a great choice.

I have a bigger digital camera that I love, but this one is the perfect size to carry with me EVERYWHERE. It's light, compact, and takes EXCELLENT pictures. The screen is huge and the images are really clear.
I got the camera a couple days after purchasing. Shipping was SUPER quick and the package arrived in great condition.
