I came to this Nikon after 30 years with a Nikon Apollo photemic F. As much as I still love my Nikon Photemic F film camera this is a new world and I can't put this Nikon D90 down, it is pure fun.

This camera is amazing. I am a graphic artist and moved from point and shoot camera. The D90 boasts some great features, high and low ISO settings, active D-lighting, and a gorgeous 3" screen. The most important thing; picture quality, outstanding is the only word that can be said, the colors are natural and vibrant in normal use, but with the vast array of tweaks that the D90 has, it can make any shooting condition look good. I recommend getting a third party reference guide like David Busch's Nikon D90 Guide to Digital SLR Photography or this Magic Lantern Guides: Happy shooting!

This was my first DSLR camera, and overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Was easy to use right out of the box...and I know there's much more "under the hood" to learn and experience.

This camera is a great all around camera. It takes great outdoor/indoor photos, this is the camera for those once in a lifetime vacation photos. I have yet to find any downside. This is quality at a fair price.

My previous Nikon Digital SLR was the D40X, with which I had repeated flash failure problems---a design flaw. The Nikon D90 is much more durable and superior in it capabilities and performance. It's a highly recommended purchase.

This camera is Over the TOP for a basic user. It is loud when shooting outdoor scenes, but who else is there anyway(except for animals). Very easy to use even with out using the manual, but Highly Recommended.

Great camera, still learning all about it...lots to learn, certainly not a camera if you want to aim and shoot! Takes great pictures! I haven't used the video portion of it yet...still trying to learn about it all.

I upgraded from a D40 to a D90, and I'm SO glad I did! This camera is easy enough for someone who just wants a 'really high quality p&s', but it's also advanced enough to get into the pro photography world. The video is great quality - you just have to manual focus. After a little practice it's easy.

The D90 is a great upgrade from the D40x. I really needed the built in motor for camera focus for my 50mm & 60mm lens.

My digital compact camera was nice, but not good enough for what I wanted to do. I was waiting for the right Digital SLR, and I found it. The Nikon D90.
