I use this camera to document my work and add to my video portfolio. I am a lighting designer and the camera is rugged enough to travel with me, it is comfortable to use with one hand and the wide angle option is perfect for the shots I need to capture.

There are a wide range of features that will give the more advanced photographer the control they are looking for. However, for the more casual user these advanced settings do not get in the way. The camera is a nice balance in that way. Size is also a good compromise, the optical zoom/long lens is great! Really lets you capture pics you might miss. While this is not the smallest camera around, it is relatively small given the lens. I have also been very impressed with the video quality. The camera accepts the new SD-HC cards which go up to 8GB! This allows for thousands of photos and more than a half hour of video, depending on settings.

Bought the camera and used it on vacation. Posted pictures on the web. Friends and family like the pictures. I like the camera. Nice alternative to my digital SLR.
