Great camera!
By Todd1331Verified Purchaser from Western NY on 1/26/2008
Cons:
Small controls

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

Great camera for the casual user...just point and shoot. The AF illuminator is a nice feature that allows you to look at the object, and not the camera, while taking the picture.

Service & Delivery comments:

Quick delivery, and everything was perfect. I am now an ABT user!

This camera is very handy to use in a party or small social gathering. It is very slick and easy to operate. Only thing I did not like is that the battery needs to be taken out from the camera for recharging.

Excellent pocket camera!
By The EngineerVerified Purchaser from Northbrook on 12/11/2007
Pros:
Bright LCD, Easy Setup, Nice product styling, Takes great pictures
Cons:
Nonstandard interface, Really tiny viewfinder, Weak battery door
Best Uses:
Casual snaps, Fun, Photojournalism, Travel
Describe Yourself:

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

This camera was easier to set up than I thought it would be. It's also a lot smaller and lighter than I expected. It's a fun camera for casual picture taking but I wouldn't use it for any serious work. If you don't use it regularly the internal rechargeable battery runs down, and you will have to reset the clock. But the camera still works even if you don't.

Great camera at an even better price!
By Jason W.Verified Purchaser from Ridgeland, SC on 8/27/2007
Pros:
Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Strong Construction
Best Uses:
Fun, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Casual user, Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Bottom Line:

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

This is a great little camera, has tons of functions that most casual users won't have a need for, but it's handy that they are there. Takes great video/audio which is a big reason I chose this model. The file sizes get quite large when recording at the highest resolution, but a 4 GB memory card provides plenty of storage. Over 1,000 pictures at the highest resolution. For the money, this one can not be beat!

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was execellent...shipped out on the same day it was ordered. It was packaged well had no issues with the ordering process.

Will put it the test during an upcoming trip to Hawaii (Oahu and Kauai) So far I am very pleased with the product. Pictures seem much more "crisp" than my previous camera. Purchased a 2 Gig memory stick and an extra battery.

Works well for everyday snapshots, but had to be careful with moving the roller wheel with my thumb. Also, stabilization doesn't work great with zoom.

Great Camera and Excellent Price

Pros:
Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup
Cons:
Long Lag Time
Best Uses:
Fun, Travel

Bottom Line:

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

I LOVE this camera. Within my price range, this was the best quality and the lightest weight I could find. I have been very happy with it for taking movies and stills. Only con is that sometimes there's a bit of lag time when trying to take pictures of moving subjects. But, unless you're going to go super high end, I guess most digital cameras are like that. Definitely would recommend as a GREAT buy!

Good Camera Cheep Price
By spidermommy from houston,TX on 5/14/2007
Pros:
Short Lag Time
Cons:
Review Button
Best Uses:
Art, Fun, Travel
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

Good camera for the price.
CONS: My biggest complaint is the review button is difficult to push. My previous Sony camera showed how many minutes of the batter you had left, this only shows a picture of the battery, full/half/empty, it was just a little disappointing but no reason to not buy it.
PRO: The pictures are good, operation is easy (especially if you have had a Sony before)
It takes it's pictures fast and turning it on takes virtually no time at all, which is great when you are trying to take pictures of kids.

This camera has it all in a very small package. Once you know to keep steady when taking subjects in low-light conditions - I use the flash whenever the subject is close enough -, the pictures come out sharp and vibrant. A best buy!

Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot Black Digital Camera:

The Sony Cybershot W55 is a great first-time camera, but also has advanced features that an expert would love. Small, lightweight, but still stable in your hand. The LCD screen is huge and very clear. Still not sure about low light pictures, but that's what a good photo program is for. Don't be deceived if the picture looks dark on your LCD screen, Picasa2 by Google will hightlight all flaws. Easy, fun, lightweight and fits in my purse. And, with the included 54mb memory you can take some extra pics if your card gets full.
