This is a really nice camera that takes very good quality pictures. It would be perfect for someone who really knows how to use all of the settings the camera has to offer. I, being a novice, am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of settings. The two settings I use most are the Easy and Automatic. They are very similar in their function, but the quality of the photo taken is slightly different. Playing with the settings and getting to know which one is better is a matter of preference as they are both good.

Awesome features! I love the button that creates slide shows with music! How cool is that??? Even better is the smile detector button, the camera will only take a picture if the person is smiling. (when feature is activated) That is the neatest thing ever! Very simple to use. It is still a point and shoot with lots of extra options. Still learning and discovering more about it!
I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone!!!!

I was looking for a camera with a fast shutter speed to I could take pictures at Dog Agility events and just keep up with my pets and children around home. My old Sony was so slow that I had to guess where they would be by the time the shutter went off. This camera allows a novice like me to take some wonderful action shots with little to no work on my part. Now there are no more shots with no kids or just a dog's tail. I get the picture everytime. It is also fast enough to stop the blurring of swinging hair or wagging tails.

The only con I have found with this camera is that if you turn it on with the lens cap on, it does not warn you like our old Sony did, the lens just telescopes on out and either knock the lens cap of, or get jammed up until the lens cap is physically removed.

Overall, I love this camera and hope to get many more great shots from it in the years to come.

Like the more mega pixels and the larger viewing screen. This camera is extreamly easy to use, but you will need to read the user manual.

Had a sony camera with the Zeiss lens before this one, the zoom on this is awesome, the image stabilization, even for images hundreds of feet away is flawless. Have not found anything I don't like about this yet- except of course the proprietary smart card issue.

I used to have the DSC-H7 and was pretty happy with it. When I got the H50, I was impressed. It really is easy to use even though the advanced functions may take a little knowing the menus.
Image is great and the movies are of excellent quality. You are able to use the zoom in movie mode and that is a plus for me.
I have taken portraits, landscape shots, artistic pictures, etc. This camera is very well balanced.
