Comments about Sony Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX7 Blue 10.2 Megapixel Digital Camera:

First, I have to say this is an awesome camera. Impressive to look at and user friendly. Set up was quick and easy - and touch screen worked flawlessly. Picture quality is outstanding - BUT a little too bright. Display is crisp and clear with beautiful color... sometimes I wondered if it was true color? The sliding cover is a nice feature to me. Protects everything when you're not using it - and was easy enough to push up and down. All in all - mechanically, visually, ease of use and picture quality are great.

The downside was that it is just too small for me. It will fall out of hands easily - and is difficult to hold in one hand and take the picture with the same hand (you know - those party shots you take of yourselves?). It just didn't feel comfortable because of it's small size.

The zoom lens is lacking. I would think they could put a little bigger zoom in without disrupting the flow of the design and mechanics. 4x zoom doesn't work for me.

I thought the shutter lag was pretty long for a camera of this quality.

I had tried the Nikon S8100 before this and went with the Lumix ZS10 after it. The Nikon was a TERRIBLE camera! OMG just awful! Lens error on the first one - and same error on the second! Stay away from that one!

The Lumix blows both of them away. It is bigger - but has great pictures and virtually no shutter lag. Easy to hold. A little "old fashioned" looking - but, hey - I'm not out to impress with the camera I'm holding - just the pictures it takes!
