It fit my son's small Sony VAIO with the extended battery. He specifically wanted a sleeve rather than a case so he understood it was light protection. He carries the laptop in his backpack. He tried out two sleeves and chose this one because it had the double zippers which made it easier to close. I cautioned him to make sure the zippers didn't scratch so he was careful to check that.

Got this for my 13" Macbook based on other reviews, and I was not disappointed. It fits snugly and works well for scratch protection within my backpack. Does not have straps or pockets, and the neoprene is a bit thin, but for non-bulky scratch protection, it works great.

This case fits Toshiba U300/U305 13.3 screen notebook almost perfect. Power adapter also
fits great. Remove Sony logo and you have a perfect custom fit case.

I would be reluctant to simply stuff the SZ VAIO into the messenger bag. The neoprene cover set adds that extra degree of protection that I desired. I would stress that you should be certain that the machine is OFF and not hibernating before storing in this cozy sock, as it would likely overheat otherwise.
I think that this protective cover may be even more necessary for those Vaio owners that have the magnesium case units, the wear and tear to the finish could be a heartbreaker.

I love this case. It's sleek, stylish, sporty, sexual. Ok, so it's not sexual for most people, but I like alliteration. The only reason I didn't give it the full five stars is the fact that if I drop my laptop (with this case on it) I know that the case wouldn't do much to prevent physical damage to the computer. However, it does a great job of preventing cosmetic injuries such as scratches and whatnot, and I wouldn't want anything thicker because I like how it all still fits inside of my messenger bag!

but padding is not enough thick
so only for light protection
you maybe need bakpack or something to carry.

This case fits like a glove and offers perfect protection for my Sony 13.3" laptop when I stow it in my backpack. For overnight travel I hate to carry a separate laptop case, so this one offers enough protection to store the laptop in the same bag that I carry my clothes and toiletries. May not be what everyone is looking for, but for my needs it doesn't get any better
