Extended Holiday Returns & Exchanges

Holiday extended return deadline is January 14th, 2015. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. Every product we sell can be returned for a full refund, some category exclusions apply. Extended return products must be sealed and unopened.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your merchandise, we'll gladly exchange it or give you a refund for the full purchase price paid, whichever you prefer, within 30 days from the original shipping date. Exclusions may apply. All returned or exchanged items must be in their original box and include all packing material, manuals, and accessories. If you live in the Chicago area, you can return or exchange your merchandise directly to our store. For directions, click here. No receipt, no problem. Our Computer system will keep a record of your purchase.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product arrives damaged or defective. To get a return authorization number log in to your account. We recommend that you use UPS Ground Service “Insured.” If you have an overweight/oversized item that was shipped to you via a Freight/LTL carrier, Abt will arrange for the carrier to pick the product up directly from your home. The return shipping price will be sent to you before it is picked up.

Abt has a 30 day return policy on most items excluding the below products.
Camcorders, Digital Cameras & GPS: 15 days for return or exchange. 15% restocking fee on opened items.
Cellular Phones 15 days for return or exchange. 15% restocking fee on opened items.
Laptop/Notebook And Desktop Computers You may return any new computer purchased from Abt that is "dead on arrival," arrives in damaged condition, or is still in unopened boxes, for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Abt reserves the right to test "dead on arrival" returns and impose a customer fee equal to 15 % of the product sales price if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product. Any returned computer that is damaged through customer misuse, is missing parts, or is in unsellable condition due to customer tampering will result in the customer being charged a higher restocking fee based on the condition of the product. Abt will not accept returns of any desktop or notebook computer more than 30 days after you receive the shipment. 
Computer Products: 15 days for return or exchange. 15% restocking fee on opened items.

Computer Software, Video Games & Gaming Systems: 30 day return on unopened merchandise.
Cookware, Cooking Utensils, Outdoor Grills & Beverage Machines: 30 day return on unused merchandise.
Satellite Equipment: Unopened satellite boxes & systems may be returned with the original unused access card.
Exchanges must be done through the manufacturer for defective items.
Seasonal Items: 30 day exchange policy for defective items or upgrade. No Returns.
(Air Conditioners, Grills, Mosquito Magnets and Generators)
Water Filters: 30 day return on unopened merchandise.
Luggage, Travel Accessories & Tumi Products: 5 days for return or 30 day exchange
Mattresses: One time 90 day comfort exchange only (after 30 days). Equal or greater value only. Return and shipping cost applies to all out of state purchases.

How To Make a Return

Step 1 - Obtain a Return Authorization Number

Step 2 - Prepare Package

The item should be returned in the manufacturer's box with all accessories (i.e.: manual, remote, wires, etc.) along with a copy of the packing list. Please use the original shipping box. A safely packaged and complete return is less likely to incur damage or a restocking fee.

Step 3 - Attach Return Label

Remove old shipping labels or mark out the original tracking numbers. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. We recommend that you use UPS Ground Service Insured.

Step 4 - Ship It

To find the nearest UPS location, please call (800) PICK UPS or go to their website at http://www.ups.com/dropoff

How will I know if you've received my return?
If you used UPS you may trace your package online using tracking number or visiting www.ups.com. Once our Returns Department has received and inspected your return, your refund or exchange will be issued within two business days.
