iPod Browsing allows music enthusiasts to "flick through" and browse by album art, video titles, photographs, etc. from an iPhone or iPod. For added versatility, iPod control by Hand disables the receiver's integrated control, enabling passengers to control the iPod manually.

Both models feature 4V output with 2-preouts. Increased preout voltage reduces amplifier gain, which helps to lessen noise.

The DDX418 features a large 6.1-inch WVGA screen and easily accessible control knob and buttons. Each button is multi functional as functions differ depending on a short or long press. Variable Color Key Illumination can match the keys' color with the dashboard or interior lighting.
