The facility is on-site at Abt’s Glenview location. The training facility features different areas, like a simulated attic space, for a more realistic training experience.

Yes. Abt University strives to teach multiple skills; as you progress through trainings, your experience will be tailored to your strong suits.

Can I become certified through Abt University?

Yes. You’ll learn everything you need to become a certified professional and how to do everything from appliances to electrical work up to code. From there, we partner with local schools where trainees can take their certification tests.

Abt University is an experience unique to our store, where trainees get hands-on with the products they'll actually work on in customers' homes. Not only do these trained technicians do work up to code, they'll also fix any existing work that isn't up to code. It's also a community, coordinating with salespeople and the service department. You'll learn a new skill, close skills gaps and share feedback with our manufacturers.
