Comments about GE GE JE1860SH Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven:
Cooks well, but the door does not consistently close evenly (if pushed closed at the bottom sometimes that is a gap at the top, which needs to be pushed for complete closure). The heating mechanism is also very noisy. When cooking for short periods of time, it is noisy the whole time. At longer periods, the noise lasts for 12 seconds, then quite for 18 seconds.... repeat. We had this exact product until it died after 6 years of use and thought we would try it again. This is a great product when it works; however, this one is questionable. I would purchase this item again because when it is quite and running normal, it is a great product.
Delivery was very fast and arrived in good shape. The box itself was damaged. There are problems with this particular microwave and a service ticket will be turned in to correct the issues.

We have had this model before in black. It was in our home for 10yrs. so we knew that this one would last. We are slowly changing our appliances over to stainless and this one works well with our KitchenAid fridge and dishwasher. I like that the control panel is similar to our old, however is much more efficient in its cooking!

For a great looking, inexpensive micro, this one will easily do the job. Wound up getting a kit to make it look like a "built-in" under a cabinet and it looks terrific. Plenty of space for general warm-ups and light cooking. [...]

neat product, but the display is hard to read and main controls (start, stop, etc.), while ringed in red, are small and not differenitated from the others. They should either be separate, or be raised buttons, like the big Panasonics.

After 5 years we had to replace our GE Profile Countertop Microwave JE1860SS microwave. The unit was mounted above our stove. We were disappointed that it broke but pleased that we could find a perfect fit as a replacement.
