I test to do the popcorn. It came out perfectly, no burns and every corn popped.

The customer service is the best.

We received the microwave with a dent on the side. However, there was no damage on the box. We contacted the customer services right away. They were willing to make the exchange. But my husband has already installed the microwave with the trim kit. So we decided to keep it.

After using one week, it stopped working. We contacted the customer services again and requested to exchange. I think that we got a defect product.

They have UPS to pick the defect one in 2 days. We got the new one in 5 days. Even though, we went through this trouble, I am very pleased with the customer services. I will definitely buy other stuff from Abt.

dint clean the plastic window with windex. i have a high end kitchen. would not put in high end kitchen. front door looks cheap, and is not glass. cleaned it and made permanent marks from windex.

This KitchenAid microwave was needed to replace a previous model - door button broke. Since it was the only model that would ft in the space I had to stick with KitchenAid. It works fine but my guess is so do the others that were a lot less expensive.

I PURCHASED THIS MICROWAVE TO BE INSTALLED IN A 24" WIDE SPACE, ABOVE A NEW KITCHENAID OVEN AND WITH A TRIM KIT. I CHOSE THE KITCHENAID BECAUSE IT WOULD LOOK GREAT AND I ASSUMED IT WOULD BE A HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT. MY LAST MICROWAVE WAS A LARGE 28" SHARP MICRO/CONVECTION OVEN. IT WAS GREAT AND HEATED QUIETLY AND VERY WELL. THE KITCHENAID IS VERY NOISY AND BUZZES WHEN IT STARTS UP, IT DOES QUIET DOWN ONCE IT GETS GOING, BUT IT IS STILL NOISY. I HAVE NOT COOKED WITH THIS EXTENSIVELY BUT MY EXPERIENCE SO FAR IS THAT IT HEATS UNEVENLY. CONSIDERING THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE PRODUCT I WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE A QUIETER AND HEAT BETTER . MY WHOLE FAMILY IS MISSING THE OLD MICROWAVE.

I purchased this to replace a KitchenAid microwave that died after 4 years of use. I had a hole and a trim kit requiring the same size microwave. This new unit works just fine, but it sure isn't as "pretty" as the old one!

Improvements over the old model: rotating ring can be removed for easier cleaning

Un-improvements - door does not open past 85 degrees (meaning it does not open 'all the way') not a problem except when trying to remove a large plate/pan from the unit

I hope it lasts longer than four years....that doesn't seem very long for an appliance that only gets used 10 min a day!

This is the 2nd unit I've owned in 2 years and the 3rd unit in 5 years. I wouldn't buy it again except that the space it sits in which contains a 24 inch frame prevents me from utilizing a different unit. Each time, it was the magnetron that failed and unfortunately after the 1 year warranty had expired. Buyer beware!

We wanted a microwave with plenty of power, roomy interior, ease of use and most importantly minimal counter space required. This microwave is perfect. It is very attractive and compact, heats food quickly and the preset options for re-heating are great. Stainless does show fingerprints but that's the tradeoff for this look.

Surprisingly good machine in relatively compact and beautiful case. "Sensor" cooking is great - one button choices for most tasks. Figures out how much time is needed and when food is cooked.

When we remodeled our kitchen we had a hard time finding a microwave sized to our cabinets. After three years, that one died when the door latch seized and would no longer open. This KitchenAid we bought from Abt fit the dimensions perfectly. I was able to re-use the same trim kit and install it quickly. It looks beautiful and works well. It is powerful, and I usually cut cooking times by 1/3 to 1/2. I am happy with both Abt and the microwave.

We've had an older similar Kitchen Aid microwave for 8 years and have liked it so much we simply bought the newer model when my wife burned the yam and caused a permanent stink in the old one. I like the custom defrost, reheat and easy to use display. I guess it can't be too easy because my wife never figured out the custom auto baked potato.

Replaced older kitchenaid microwave that served us well for only 7 years. Old unit was built in by kitchen installer and plastic shipping cover was not removed, likely causing early failure. New model is just as powerful but much quieter, and even better in appearance. New model fit old built in kit. Must be sure to remove plastic wrap, which is firmly adhered, before use.

My first Kitchen Aid microwave oven finally died and it performed so well for me over many years I decided to buy another. I got the stainless steel model - although not as eloquently designed as the previous model, it was not offensive. I still was able to use the SS frame after grinding off 1/4 inch of medal. The positives - much more power (have broken one dish already) and faster cooking time, easy to clean, same features and control methodology as my old microwave. The negatives - quality does not appear to be as good i.e. cheaper construction, door misaligned, so does not close easily, but not bad enough to go through the hassle of returning, they also made the start button smaller, use it the most, the button they squeeze into the space is used infrequently.

Initially, I was excited ordering a newer model of the Kitchen Aid, but got my hopes too high and am slightly disappointed at the result. My mistake, they do not make things like they used to.

For some reason, the heating element conked out today, less than a month and a half after purchase. This is the second Kitchen Aid microwave we've had and the first lasted 7 years, so go figure.

Used mostly to cook vegtables and prepare snacks such as popcron. Microwave is powerful and heats evenly. Looks fantastic although some might find the stainless a pain to keep clean. This is the second model i received. The first broke within a month of ownership. Hopefully it was just a lemon.

Service & Delivery comments:

Ordered this microwave and the first one that came in had a bad bulb in it. Replaced and used microwave for another 2.5 weeks. Microwave stopped working, would not heat. Called Abt. Sent unit back, no charge for shipping. Recieved new unit within a week. Great service and delivery, hope this one lasts.

Microwave is attractive and powerful. Looks great in the kitchen and seems to do everything fairly well.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was O.K. Microwave arrived within 2 days of ordering, but when it arrived the interior lightbulb was burned out. Didn't want to send the whole thing back so called Kitchen Aid and they sent someone to the house to fix it for free. Not a big deal, but an inconvience.

So far, so good.

This unit has a trim kit for built in purposes. It is very attractive. Has a high-end look about it. The high power rating makes for quick and easy reheating. If you want quality and convenience at a moderate price this is the microwave for you.

I love it. Looks beautiful in my kitchen and it very powerful. The only thing that I do not like is that you have to be constantly cleaning the outside for finger print. I am a neat freak that is why. Other than that its the best thing worth what I paid for.
