I have to say, for the price I am extremely pleased with this purchase [...].The stainless steel and size of this microwave is ideal for a counter top unit, and takes less space than my previous Sharp unit that stopped working and was of similar power and features.The design is well thought out. I thought I would not like the rotary knob selector. But it is actually easier to use than a keypad, and allows for less buttons to clutter up the display. This results in a very elegant and clean front panel design.I really like the turbo inverter defrost. I am a lazy frozen food person, and this works great. Not to mention it has probably the best one button reheat logic that I have used.I only have 2 complaints. First, the display is set into the unit so that you have to be looking almost directly at it to see it. I am 6' tall and when I stand in front of the unit which is at counter height, the tops of the numbers are cut off. I have to stoop down a bit to see it. Small nit... The other is the button labels are hard to read because of the color of the text on the black panel. It would have been nice if these were illuminated or lighter in color. Again, a small nit...I highly recommend this unit. [...]

Much as you shouldn't pick a product for its looks, we all want both beauty & brains. This replaced a 10-yr old Panasonic genius, so we were familiar with the brand's reliability. The glass plate broke during our move and replacing that piece would have cost more than half of this new one. The only con is that the plastic smell took weeks to dissipate. We checked thoroughly (inside & out) for any stray pieces and found none.

Since I was remodeling my kitchen, I decided to replace my old Panasonic microwave with a new one. It needed to be as powerful as my old one and just as simple to use. I also wanted it to be a stainless finish. I got it all and will now retire my 17 year old Panasonic microwave (never any problems or repairs) downstairs for my work shop when I need a quick hot snack.

Light inside goes on only while food is cooking not when you open door. Makes it hard to see while cleaning. Everything else is great! Love the dial!

The last microwave we had was a panasonic and it worked for years with no problem so we wanted to get another one. The microwave fit into a prebuilt shelf so when we had to have another we called Panasonics help line and the customer service guy gave us four models that would fit the space. [...] The new microwave works great and we are glad we bought it.

I like the general appearance of the product. It is attractive and fits in well with the kitchen.
I would like the book of directions that comes with the product to have more detailed information on items such as bacon, warming a drink, heating a muffin or donut. [...]

I really like this oven, however, this one is NOT big enough for those NEW square dinner plates. I had to purchase a new set of dishes, so that I could keep this oven. It is ALSO VERY nice looking in addition to how great it works. If you have the standard dinnerware that is round or oval in shape you should be fine. If you have the new square plates, you might look into a bigger size oven. I hope this helps everyone.

Does a good job of evenly cooking food. Sensor works well in automatically determining cooking time. Stainless steel and black-out window looks good in a kitchen with SS and Black appliances. Faster than previous microwave.
