The previous Panasonic model I owned had a door handle. It opened easily and quickly. This model has done away with the handle and instead relies on a push button to release the door. It takes so much force on the release button to release the door that we had to put rubber pads beneath its four feet to hold the unit steady. Other than that, it is an excellent unit, something we have come to expect from Panasonic.

This is a very powerful microwave...you will need to set the power level lower if you're reheating coffee in a paper cup. One minute & my cup started to char! That being said, things heat up faster...I just pour the contents of my cup into a ceramic cup.

The numbers,and options are easy to read--my husband has low vision. It heats very evenly, and quietly. It looks nice too----I would buy it again.We had bought a microwave, just a year ago!!The tray didn't work well, and scratched off all the paint -----so I did my homework when shopping for another microwave so soon. I love this one, and will stay with this brand of products.

I used the larger version of this unit for 5 years and notice that this new, smaller unit is quite a bit louder. Other than that, I really appreciate having the inverter and being able to truly control the cook temperature.

Bought on sale for under [$] ( Can't beat that! ), Family of 4, works Excellent for all items - Turbo Defrost is superfast, much faster than my old GE, I like the add a min button and "keep warm" feature-to keep food hot until I'm ready to serve! 1300W is great for potatoes too!
