Very efficient and effective model. A little noisier than I would have hoped, but overall relatively unobtrusive. I like the feature of being able to drain to the outside.
We were pretty happy with the dehumidifier because it is very efficient and effective. However, the compressor seems to have broken on it. I called the warranty department and they worked very quickly to resolve my issue. There are no service centers in my area, so they are arranging for an exchange at the store from which I purchased the unit. The customer service reps were extremely friendly, helpful, and most of all, quick to solve my problem. I have had pretty bad experiences in the past with product warranties, but this way by far my most positive experience. I will definitely buy LG products again.

The humidistat doesn't seem to work properly. The current humidity in my basement without the dehumidifier running is 55%. The lowest humidity I can attain with the dehumidifier running is 45%, even if the unit is set to 35%. It does take some humidity out of the air, but not to the settings I specify. Also, the instructions for setting the unit are not very clear. I don't see the point of using the 2 hour or 4 hour timer. The humidity will not go down to the desired level if the timer is on. Most of the time the humidity does not go down to the level you select even if the unit is set to "on," in which it runs constantly. Also, the piece of plastic that connects the drainage hose is very flimsy and doesn't secure the hose well. It dislodges if bumped at all. I am considering returning the dehumidifier.

This unit is great. It shows the percent of humidity that is existing, and you set it to the percent of humidity that you want. The bucket is 21 pint which is very large so you'll have to empty it less, and it is great at dehumidifying. Plus with a 5 year warranty, you can't go wrong.
