IT'S REALLY GREAT FOR QUICK JOBS. IT'S EASY TO USE AND GETS PET HAIR CLEANED EASILY BUT THIS MODEL HAS ISSUES. IT OVERHEATS IF YOU USE IT TOO LONG AT ONE TIME. IF YOU SHUT IT OFF AND WAIT 10 MINUTES THEN YOU CAN CONTINUE. THEY DO TELL YOU THIS IN THE BROCHURE. THE LAST ONE I HAD FOR 15 MONTHS AND THE PLASTIC WHERE THE BRUSH IS CONNECTED TO THE VACCUM JUST BROKE APART. IT CAN'T BE FIXED SO I ORDERED ANOTHER ONE. WHEN IT CAME THE BRUSH WOULDN'T GO AROUND SO I TOOK IT TO AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR SHOP AND THEY FIXED THE BRUSH BUT THE PLASTIC BROKE IN THE SAME PLACE AS THE OTHER ONE SO THEY ARE ORDERING ME A NEW ONE. IT'S ODD THAT 2 BROKE IN THE SAME PLACE SO I HOPE THIS NEW ONE IS BETTER. I WILL BE LETTING HOOVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. OTHER THAN THESE PROBLEMS, IT WORKS REALLY WELL.

Terrific suction for quick clean-ups on tile and laminate floors; great for removing pet hair, dry cat food, etc. Great maneuverability in small places. Not as powerful as my Oreck on carpet, but that's to be expected. Wish cord was a bit longer. This beats any cordless electric vac/broom like the Shark or similar products that I've purchased in the past. Well worth the price.

I use this vacuum mostly on tile floors, but it also cleans carpets well with the rotating brush on.

It is really too heavy for me, as I have back trouble, but my husband can use it without too much trouble. The suction is terrific and it is much sturdier than any other stick vac I have owned.

Light and easy to use. I use it on the first floor that is cover with tile. I have two dogs that shed alot and this vaccuum picks everything. Very powerful for its size. On carpet it works fine too. It is a great looking unit.

We have 80% hard floors and 20% low pile carpet; this vac works great on both. We have 2 cats; this is one of the only vacuums we've found whose exhaust is routed in such a way that it does not blow the cat hair and dust off of the floor and into the air when you enter a room with it. Poor exhaust routing is the #1 reason we've returned at least 20 different makes and models of various vacuums. This one is a winner! It is great at picking up litter and other particles off of hard floors, rather than whirling them into other sections of the room. It cleans everything off of the low pile carpet, too! It's not a deep cleaner, but it's great for daily use between weekly deep cleanings.

Great vacuum for the price. Not the best tile cleaner (would rather have a swifter), but it's good for a vacuum on tile.

My vet's assistant recommended this product for picking up pet hair, and it works exactly as she described it. If there are large items (dirt, beads, plant leaves, etc.), you'll need to use a broom for them; however, it picks up pet hair and dust better than a vacuum or a broom. I use it mainly before mopping the floor.

The red model has a power boost that works great on small carpets, but don't plan to use it on a carpeted room. I've read that it over heats when used this way.

If you have mostly wood/tiled floors and pets you'll like this machine.

I wanted a powerful little vacuum to pick up kitty litter on my hardwood floors, bathroom tile and stairway. This is perfect. If it had a handle on the body of the vac to help maneuver it on the stairs it would be beyond reproach.

After using this stick vacuum I found it to be very powerful and works great on low pile carpeted rugs and hardwood floors. Slightly noisy but thats because it's quite powerful. Works really well and very efficiently. The unit looks good and is well made. Buy a 15' xtn cord and you'll have 35' total length. I recommend after emptying dust/dirt ..take about 10 mins to thoroughly wash and clean after each use. Won't take the place of a full size vac.. but it does a really good job in a hurry.

Was initially happy with it.Used once in a week around the house.After 8 months the thing broke to two peaces just above the floor attachment area while working on carpet. No metal used in the construction of it's body, even in parts where, if common sense applied, it must be used! Everything in this vac made just to sell it and not for you to rely on it.

With a narrow head it does not cover larger areas well. I have a lot big tiled rooms and this is better suited for smaller areas. On the plus side, it does fit between furniture legs better.

I used this product daily to pick up pet hair. Top heavy so be careful it will tip over if not careful. Love it on carpeted stairs.

Best for bare floors. Picks up the dust and pet hairs. Swivel head feature gets into hard to reach places. Get this model S2220 with the power head brush feature, as it is well worth the extra money.

I finally found a small vacuum that does a great job on both bare floors and thrown rugs. With my other vacuum, I had to go over the throw rug many times to get the dog hair up, but with the Hoover Flair, it takes no time at all and does a fantastic job! My rugs finally look great after I vacuum them! The dirt cup needs emptying a lot, but that's OK because I used to have to buy bags for my other stick vacuum, and had to buy them online because nobody carried them in the stores. The other thing I really like about the Flair is that for a vacuum, it's relatively quiet.

There are only a few things that I wish this vacuum had or would change:

1. It needs to have a longer cord. I can't finish vacuuming the living room without moving the cord. With my other vacuum, I could do the living room and kitchen.

2. I wish it had a little lip or handle to grab onto when you vacuum the stairs. My other vacuum had a place to put your fingers to make it easier to handle.

3. The other thing that I would change is where the cord wraps around. It wraps around just fine, that's no problem, but there is a little plastic overhang where the cord begins and it seems like a very tight fit. Hoover should have move one or the other over a bit. You'd have to see it to know what I'm talking about.

4. I also would suggest that Hoover redesign the handle to be a little more ergonomic. It's OK, but it could be a better.

Even with these things that I would like to see changed, I am very satisfied with this vacuum. If Hoover made these changes, then I think then it would be the perfect vacuum, so Hoover get to work!

This is a great little vacuum. I bought it to vacuum my hardwood floors and it works great. It can also be used on rugs. It's definitely not heavy duty, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted a vacuum that does not take much space, light weight (for moving up and down the stairs), and vacuums pets hair. It does the job and I'm happy with it. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a small vacuum.

This Hoover vacuum is great in a variety of settings. It works well on hardwood floors, as well as many types of carpeting. It is perfect for a dorm room, our as a housewarming gift for you child's first apartment. It is easy to carry, and the suction is great. It does not replace a regular upright Hoover, but for small to medium jobs, it can't be beat.

For the area rugs, hardwood, and tile floors, this light weight easy to use vacuum is the answer for the quick pickup of dog hair and tracked in dirt. I use it between the weekly vacuum of the whole house that includes the wall to wall carpet, and deep cleaning of the area rugs.
Will also use in our 5th wheel when we go south this winter.
Would not recommend for the main vacuum, too small and would most likely overwork it.

If I had known about this little vacuum, I would have bought it long ago.

It does an excellent job on hard surfaces and it also does a good enough job on carpets that I don't have to use my heavy canister vacuum as often.

It is light weight and effective.

My advice: Buy this vacuum and, when you use it, mind moving the cord and be gentle in cleaning the container that collects debris.

I've had this stick vacuum for only four days and have used every day. I love it! It gets under furniture and has powerful suction (picks up pet hair like a breeze!). I really like the switch on it to go from hardwood to carpet as I have new laminate flooring, area rugs, vinyl and wall-to-wall carpeting. It works great on all flooring types and it picks up everything along the baseboards sucking up what my regular upright vacuum cannot.

The cord however is too short and comes unplugged when I go to far with it. Cleaning out the cup and filter is a little messy and I always seem to drop dirt from it on my clean floor, but other than that, I'm very happy with this product.

I love that it's light weight but has a rotating brush for carpet - easy to use on stairs. Also, since the head is small, it's easy to manuever in tight spaces. The only thing I don't love is cleaning the filter, although it is a definite bonus to be able to wash the filter and not just brush it off. And I do have to switch outlets in my kitchen because the cord is a little on the shorter side.

I purchased this product becaue we have hardwood floors and both a cat and dog (sheltie) with lots of fur.
I only use this product on the wood floors.
It is great at picking up all the pet fur as well as whatever comes in on their paws -
My only concern is that I must clean the beater brush after each use since there is so much fur wrapped around it from the pets.

The size may fool you! I was amazed at the power this little devil has! It cleans so well and is so easy to use, I might vacuum more often...... and I am a man who hates housework! The cup is easy to empty (no bags!) and the overall value is excellent. I am very pleased with my purchase and the reviews provided by existing owners gave me confidence I selected the right vacuum for my needs!
