This was an easy set up but the manual can throw you off a little at times. I had everything up and running perfectly the same evening I received it. Make sure 30 feet is enough wire for your rear speakers as they have proprietary ends on the speaker wire so you can not extend them. The sound and picture are excellent for a home theater system in a box in this price range. I still prefer my high end 2.1 to listen to CD's but the sound is very good. I have it hooked up to a Sharp Aquos 1080p 32 inch in a 12 x 12 room. Overall, I would rate this an excellent product for what it is and you will be very happy with it.

I purchased this system from Abt as a bundle with my television. The anynet+ connectivity works OK for volume, tv input, and power. The HTIB remote control can control all functions on the TV except the aspect ratio (which I use sometimes). The HTIB remote is more cheaply made than the TV remote even though they look similar. The sound quality is acceptable for a medium sized room.
We love Pandora, haven't tried Netflix or Blockbuster. YouTube is acceptable. When using the remote for these features, it doesn't seem "snappy". We haven't tried the IPod dock.
Overall very pleased, but I don't think it's much better than the Panasonic SC-BT200 except for a more attractive console, Pandora, and Netflix. Pandora and Netflix were enough to get the Samsung over the Panasonic.
I tried the PC streaming and it worked well for photos and music, but I haven't been able to get it to stream videos. I may not have any files of the right format, which tells me it might be very picky on file types. I will keep my network media player for now for streaming videos.
It came with the latest firmware so I haven't had to attempt the upgrade (and probably won't)

After a long look at all the systems in this price range, this is by far the best sound and very easy to use. I listened to them all at numerous stores and this one sounded and looks the best. If your looking for a small system with big sound, you will NOT be dissapointed. Blu ray is amazing and I have the bass turned down and I can still feel the gunshots and explosions like they are happening in the room with me. Excellent system and very happy I got this one.

Easy to set up, and I love the internet capabilities via blockbuster, netflix and pandora (I haven't used youTube much.)
My only complaint is that I wish I could watch tv through the home theater with surround sound, but I haven't found a way to to it.

I'm very impressed and extremely happy with the quality of the video (both BluRay and upscaling of normal-DVDs). Although I have nothing to compare it to as this is my first BluRay player, it meets/exceeds my expectations of what a BluRay player should be able to do.
The integrated NetFlix and Pandora work great. The YouTube interface could be better (should be able to access your own YouTube account videos). We don't subscribe to Blockbuster, so I cannot comment on that. We used ethernet cable to connect to network and it was instantly connected (very easy!).
It is a little wider/deeper than our prior surround-sound system, so it doesn't fit in our entertainment center, but because it looks so sleek, I don't mind it being on top next to the TV.
DVD-menu and surround-sound-mode buttons are rather difficult to find on the remote (especially in a dark room)... and our "universal remote" could not learn some of the buttons, indicating complex IR signals are being used. This is the only real disappointment I have with the unit... the remote is large, a lot of buttons, non-intuitive, and not universal (cannot control a cable-box or VCR with it, only a TV).
Item was on back-order when we placed the order and I was afraid it would be an extremely long time until we ever got it... but it came within the projected time-frame (of 2-3 weeks), and was delivered on Christmas Eve. I was very pleased.

I bought this item from Abt after Best Buy raised the price about 50 bucks, amazingly as I was in the process of ordering online. I had a gift certificate for Best Buy but even with that the price offered at Abt was a better deal. Although the item was back-ordered it was well worth the wait. This is the first time I've done business with Abt but their reviews were good. I'm very satisfied with Abt and the product and will not hesitate to order from them in the future.

So far this device has worked great. The sound is spectacular considering its a home theater in a box. Set up was easy and the menus are easy to navigate. The two hiccups I had were that one, no wireless usb comes with the device. It is wireless ready but I had to spend an additional $80 buying the samsung wireless adapter. I tried a different, cheaper usb adapter but only the samsung one worked. Also, attaching brackets to mount the speakers isn't set up in the speakers the best way but they can be mounted.

I hooked up the speakers, Internet, IPOD dock, TV and turned it on. It turned on with no additional set-up. SW automatically updated and it was ready to use. Entered the Netflix activation code at my PC and we were watching online movies. Played a movie from an I-Touch and it looked like it was DVD quality. Browsed pictures over the network that were stored on my pc.
I was amazed that I did not have to set up anything, I was on the internet right away.
Sound is great, the base is incredible. It' set up at one end of my basement in an area about 15'x15'.
Only con I can find is that it does not play movies located on my pc. Apparently the pc streaming movie function is disabled in the US version (XAA)
Arrived in great condition, Fast Shipping, Brand New, Box included everything needed.

I am relatively tech-savvy, but at the same time if there's a way to screw up connections, I'll find it. Still, it all went together effortlessly. Sound is good (not earth-shattering), and the unit looks great. Note that although it is advertised as having the capability to connect to the Internet, you have to have a LAN connection or buy a Samsung adapter to make it work.

Other internet routers don't work. Must have Samsung brand or else the Netflix, You Tube, Pandora, etc . . . doesn't work. Otherwise, it does what it says.
Also, can't hear the TV on the speakers. Haven't figured it out or it's not able to do that.

This is the first home theater system I've bought. I espescially like the streaming Netflix and Pandora capability, though I wish Samsung would have had wireless built in instead of having to buy their USB wireless receiver. Sound is very good for a "box" home theater system.

Samsung designed a great product. It is a good find for a Blu-ray player and home theater sound system at entry-level price. Only troublesome issue was a bad firmware file released by Samsung that my player used in an update, and it rendered my unit bricked. So after contacting Samsung support and getting essentially nowhere, the man "Peter" with accent 8,000 miles thick, said I could either ship the unit to them for service with a two plus week turnaround rate or return the item if I was able to. So I just sent it back to Abt today and awaiting my replacement. Hopefully Samsung will not allow this to happen again as it was extremely inconvenient and cumbersome process.
For and all out sound experience, you will need to get a Digital optical audio cable that will connect the device to your television provider receiver box.
Received item rather quickly. Product shipped in manufactures packing and Abt's packaging so ultimately lots of cardboard in recycle bin.
This is the second item I purchased from Abt. It wasn't until I contacted customer service that made me feel better about using this company. My call was answered promptly by a friendly, knowledgeable, and by a fellow American and not an outsourced phone-jockie in Bangladesh. My questions were answered in one phone call and the problem was resolved. How often does that happen anymore?

Had a difficult time getting the unit to communicate to my wireless internet. Ended up having to get a new wireless modem. Using the unit with the new Samsung TV purchased at the same time is not easy. When shifting from TV to Blue Ray player or viewing Netflix movies on-line is complicated. The controls are far from intuitive! The sound quality is good but the frustration of making it work properly makes me wish I hadn't purchased it!

We replaced our old DVD home theater system and the new samsung is awesome! We listen to Pandora for hours on end, live stream Netflix is sweet. The upscaling of DVD's is great and the blu-ray is phenomenal. The sound is the best we have heard from such a compact unit and the rear speakers mounted effortlessly. I have found no cons whatsoever and the price match offered by 6thave was super. Buy it, great value for the money and easy to use.

I use the system daily with all our TV viewing. We were blown away with the Blue-Ray and HD Netflix viewing. Our system includes a Samsung HDTV with Anynet+ control so the regular remote controls the system volume and when the TV is turned off, the Home Theater turns off as well. Great system!

Researched this product with many many others. I was sold on the great looks and the special chip that makes regular DVD's look almost as good as Blu Ray. I put in Casablanca and was blown away!!! Sound is great and so easy to set up. I use optical cables from the TV to the system and the sound is perfect. I even hooked my PC up to it easy and great as well.

The box looks nice, is HIGH gloss, the controls are very nice, just run your finger over them.
Took me more time to unwrap the wires than complete the rest of the setup and be sitting on my sofa watching Netflix and listening to Pandora.
Sound is amazing (Kelp???) I had to reduce the bass, BAD downstairs neighbor, and the clarity of the Netflix was way more than I imagined it would be.
The only bad thing (and I can definately live with this) is that there is only 1 RCA input and 2 digital in. No HDMI in.
The onscreen menu's are nice looking, I believe it is Java driven. Easy to navigate, I did not have to look at the destructions once before I had tested every feature, even the WiFi.
Too bad I have to work today (almost called in sick).
