Disregard all the negative reviews of this product. The speaker's wires are long enough. Placement of the subwoofer is the key to good bass. The system is self-calibrating with the included microphone as part of the initial install adjusting each speaker loudness based on where you sit. The only issue I have is the open/close button on the DVD doesn't seem to work well,(but it has worked?) The remote open/close control responds well. The total package is a good solution the match up with a new Samsung TV, all the remote controls work together.

I am using this system with a Samsung Plasma TV and a FIOS HD-DVR/Tuner and it works great. The setup of additional components could be a little more clear in the instructions (My DVR/Tuner is on HDMI 1 and it took a bit to figure out the setup). I am pretty sensitive to spacial audio and the setup microphone made balancing the sound a breeze, my one concern (and this may not be a fault of the product) is that on HD TV channels the stations sometimes change audio coding format between 5.1 and stereo and there is a second or so of lag as the receiver switches -- everyone should encode 5.1. Watching Blu-Ray movies is a great immersive experience.

We also make pretty heavy use of the Netflix streaming video service and have been very happy with Samsung's implementation. (No pauses or delays when used with our FIOS Internet service.)

BTW, my wife is a "one remote to control them all" (Apologies to J.R.R. Tolkien) user and I was able to make everything work satisfactorily using a low end Logitech Harmony. She can select and control a movie, radio, or TV with the push of a button.

Have yet to connect the wireless network to my laptop. I have read the instructions but am not real sure how to set the network up. I want to add my old video tape player, I hope it will connect as an accessory. Otherwise, your product is an incredible piece of technology. I'm glad I found you on Ebay.

Once you get past the below average directions, the system works really well. The sound is better than I figured it would be for a theater in a box system. The interface with my TV is good. The wireless rear speaker system works very well. I am, so far, very pleased with this product.

great system for watching movies. not as good for music. the surround speakers sometimes produce very high itch and distorted voice.
Nice functions that include youtube, pandora, netflex and blockbuster. I tried pandore and youtube. it is a nice function but it can not match connecting a PC to the system. The search functions are limited.
strange connection for either usb or ethernet cord. One prevents the other. I am not sure why?
I read a lot about sound dropouts in HDMI I only got that once after 3 weeks of using the system. so I have to wait for some time before agreeing or disagreeing with these comments.
My opinion if you are looking for a movie sound system which is easy to use and install while delivering good sound quality then look no further. But if you listen to a lot of music and you are an expert go for one of the high end systems that you put together from premium quality component. I have my other system to listen to music on, build from polk audio speakers and yamaha amp.

I have had this home theater for about 3 weeks. I am pretty technically savy, but the setup was not all that easy. The manual was good, but the integration with my Samsung TV took awhile to master. The sound is excellent, as is the surround sound. The quality of blue-ray and standard DVD's is superb. The wifi works fine for streaming movies most of the time, but I switched to wired ethernet, to ensure best quality. All in all and excellent system.

I was really excited to get this system since I have a 52" Samsung HDTV and they are designed to work together. The system is relatively easy to set up but the "wireless" rear speakers actually do need to be wired to the wireless unit and the enclosed wires are too short. You also need to make sure you have an outlet in the appropriate area in which to plug the wireless unit. I had to get additional speaker wire to properly mount these speakers. I set up the rest of the system with relative ease although I found the remote to not always work properly. I connected my cable box to the blu-ray player via HDMI and did the same from the player to the TV. The picture was stunning and the sound was good (not great). I also connected the wi-fi to my router with no trouble. After a short time I started to experience random loud crackling through the rear speakers and at other times there were extremely loud volume surges (even if the volume was set near zero). This happened whether I was watching TV, a movie, streaming Pandora or listening to the radio. I spent many hours dealing with Samsung techs (who are not very good). After several days of level 2 tech support they decided my system needed servicing. I drove the blu-ray player to the Samsung Service Center in NJ and after several days they replaced two parts and upgraded the firm ware. A day after I got it back the same problems recurred. So I sent the system back and got a new one. It's not fun to have dissemble and repack and ship the system. I got the second system and installed it as soon as it arrived. It takes a couple of hours to fully set up and connect to the network. When I turned it on all I saw snow on my TV and occasionally the picture would flash and then go back to snow. I was incredibly frustrated but I patiently checked all connections and then directly connected to cable box to the TV to check the box and the HDMI cables (which were fine). So I reconnected the blu-ray and saw only snow again. Then I saw SMOKE coming from the fan housing followed by FLAMES. The blu-ray player was on fire! Thankfully I was not alone and someone else was able to unplug it and the fire burned out. I shudder to think what would have happened if this occurred when I wasn't around. I then spent the next couple of hours taking apart and repacking the system. Of course, I am not getting another. I am so disappointed because I wanted a Samsung home theater system to work with my TV, but there is no way I'll ever buy one again.

Set up was relatively easy, little confusing on how to use cable and the DVD, but the wireless connected flawlessly to the network and to the rear speakers. Movies download quickly from NetFlix and Pandora sounds great thru the speakers. Kind of cool viewing YouTube videos on a big screen TV. Blu-Ray discs look fantastic and the additional features provided by Samsung make them even more enjoyable.

Though the sound isn't quite as loud as I might have wanted, it was easy enough to setup and get working. We have our DVR as an input, so we get 5.1 on HD TV shows. BluRay is very popular with the family, but NetFlix has been the thing the family really went for. YouTube has been a lot of fun as well. We've used just about every feature and really like the unit.

[...] Can't say so much for Samsung service. Have had a tremendous problem with getting satellite box to interface through system to TV. Service suggested resetting to factory specs, but gave the wrong instructions on how to do so. Finally figured out how to do it, system now works better, but still have occasional problems with connection. The system works great for blu-rays and streaming videos wirelessly.

I use Netflix a lot these days and it is great, streaming the movies. My biggest problem is getting use to another remote - but its been a week now and I am getting use to most of the functions.

This system is set up in a large apartment/loft living room. It works great, and the wireless rear speakers are fantastic. The Blue Ray player is great, and sound quality is good. When the volume is very high, there is some distortion, but this is predictable. I previously had a dedicated theater room with hand paired speakers, so this product had a high standard to live up to, and it does an acceptable job.

Replaced an older HTIB that featured only the sound solution. With this set up I now have the blue-ray and Netflix features as well as many others, meaning I got rid of three remotes! The sound is great for watching movies/TV. Not earth-shaking for listening to music. But, for the cost it's unbeatable. It appears the surround speakers only kick in while watching a DVD/Blue-ray that is 5.1. I don't yet know if I can set it up to play for regular broadcasts. That would be nice for watching sports programs. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this unit, the price I got[...]

I was looking for a HTIB to go with my Samsung plasma HDTV. The Blu-Ray package was attractive and the best price at ABT of any that I had found on line. I basically like the system but have found a couple items to be frustrating. I can't get the remote to play nice with my Tivo and there isn't clear guidance on how to deal with the problem either in the documentation or on line. For instance, when I hit the power button to turn on or off the system I have to turn off the TV with the Tivo remote and the HTIB remote won't work with the Tivo DVR. I also was disappointed to find that the "wireless" rear speakers really aren't. You don't need wires to get sound to the repeater that serves the speakers but wires are required to get from the repeater to the speakers. Also, to get a surround sound from anything other than a Blu-Ray disc you have to play with the buttons. Given all that, however, the overall package is quite acceptable.

We now have good on screen adjustability or can use the automatic adjustability with the microphone provided.sound is clear and if I need to tweak it is easy. The picture from the blu-ray is great. The service that I received from ABT was wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate from purchasing from this store again.

Easy and intuitive setup. Great sound for a theater-in-a-box. Should let folks know that the screws for the tallboy speaker stands are in a really weird, unexpected location (I actually went to Walmart to buy small screws before I finally ran accross them).

This Samsung home theater system looks and sounds great! Pandora and Netflix streams great! Simple setup. Love the PC sharing option. Love the 2 HDMI inputs and wireless internet streaming. Wireless speaker sound and work great, even though not totally wireless.

Wish there was longer speaker wires for the rear speakers. Wish I could change Bass and Speaker volumes while watching movies. Have to exit out to main screen to do so, but movie starts right back up where it was.
