The depth of the equipment box is too deep for most shelves. The speaker wire provided is not long enough to effectively separate the speakers...you know stereo...duh!
Box was a little tore up but equipment in good shape.

The Sony Mini Hi-Fi Shelf System - MHCEC68PI, fit the bill for my teenagers bedroom. Powerful, good sound quality, somewhat compact and Ipod intergrated. The remote controls the unit as well as the Ipod which is great! The dock also charges the Ipod. The only issues I had with unit which caused me to not give it 5 stars is, 1: Size, though it is compact you still need at a shelf at least 25 inches long and , here is the kicker, 18 inches deep. The unit is 17 inches front to back. 2: Ipod dock adapters should be included for the different model Ipods. Its a 2 cent piece of plastic.
