After former construction pros mis-installed an old disposal (oldie but goodie), it started to leak (two years later). My plumber said oops, not covered by warranty, get a Badger, Consumer Reports wasn't as friendly to this little creature, so I bought the GE model (little warranty, but buyers liked). Easy to install, quite, does the job, no problems yet... and not that much more than the lowly 1/2 HP Badger.

Easy to install, easy to follow instructions, had the whole job done in about an hour. Unit is VERY quiet, replaced an older (20 years old) GE disposal.
VERY SATISFIED !!!!!!!
Abt was easy do business with! Product shipped almost immediately, as promised, had it in 2.5 days via UPS. Excellent e-mail follow-up, had the UPS tracking # the same day as ordered. I look forward to working with these guys again !!

I already had this Garbage Disposal installed. If it weren't for an electrical storm, I would still have the old one installed. It was super easy to install, but then again, I had the same model installed prior to installing this new one. The only thing I wished I had done was buy Plumbers Putty prior to taking out the old one. It is super quiet and chews up pretty much anything that I to dispose of.

Even this GE product is not the same model as my old one, everything included in the package fit just fine under the sink.
What a great satisfaction when first turning the unit on; low noise level as if the old one is a monster in the past!!!

So far it's working great. I really haven't had it long enough to know if it will wear out easily. But I do love how quiet it is. And according to Consumer Reports, it's a good quality garbage disposal for the money. I had someone else install it (because of the wiring) but he said it was really easy to install.

I recently purchased a Kitchen-Aide disposal from you which is an outstanding machine and used for another purpose, however,this little GE is used for it's intended purpose in the galley of my fishing vessel and thus far has served me without complaint. Small, lightweight, quiet...a kitten with a lions attitude!!!

This was a very easy product to install, and so far, seems plenty powerful for my needs. I wanted to check the "Noisy" box under CONS, but it really isn't that noisy, just a little noisier than I expected after having read reviews that say how quiet it is. Overall I am quite satisfied with this disposal unit, and have no problems recommending it to anyone who wants a decent product, but doesn't want to take out a loan to pay for it.
Delivery was prompt, packaging was excellent. I am very pleased with ABT.

I was amazed at the quick delivery. It was well packed and arrived in perfect condition.

This is an extremely quiet disposal. It grinds food well and quickly. It definitely lives up to its marketing description. If it lasts as long as our previous 18-year GE disposal, I'll be impressed.

... then you might be in for a headache.
I'm replacing my GFC700Y, which was installed 3 years ago. Its leaking at the bottom seal now. I read that this model replaces mine. 1- Good, it needed a replacement. 2- Hmm, do I really want to experiment with a similar model?
