Comments about Broan Broan 12" Trash Compactor:
This is the second Broan I have had and I only replaced the other one after twelve years because it was dirty from so much use. It would not die, so I decided to replace it with another one. We have four children who love to eat and we process a lot of trash on a weekly basis. It is great at compacting things and very easy to use.

Love not taking out the trash as often. The foot pedal is a definite must on this product.

Bought the 12" wide Broan Trash Compactor Model 1051 back in June [...]The compactor itself works great, worth every penny! A week's worth of trash into one bag. The more trash you put in it, the more it smashes it up to make room for more. Portable, it fits like a glove into the only space we had, exactly 12" wide. The foot pedal is great, no touching the garbage or compactor with your hands until it is time to change the bag. It is the quietest compactor I have ever heard, the last one I had used made a horrible racket. You can hear it, but it is more than tolerable. In fact, we get a big kick out of hearing the trash being crushed & smashed. Unbelievable the amount of trash this thing can pack into one bag. The bags themselves work great, easy to install into the compactor, & are heavy duty & rugged. You can pull them out weighing a ton & they do not break on you.
