And I can vaccuum the entire room without bumping into furniture or having to move things away from the wall. The channel that hides all of the electrical cords is more than sufficient to store everything, including the cord from a 12 plug surge supressor, and really keeps the entire area looking organized and tidy. This unit will be a part of our entertainment center for many, many years as it is truly constructed to last and blends with any decor.
