If your Grill is up to 18 inch size, I recommend this. In our case, our Charcoal Grill is 14 1/2 inch size, we can attach this holder to our Grill, but it's not good looking and not useful. Because 14 1/2 inch size Grill is low, the holder reach to ground. Finally, even though we used it just once, we put in closet.

Gives you a place to put the lid when basting, turning, checking the temperature, or cleaning the grill. It beats putting in on the ground or trying to find the hook on the lid...

My Weber charcoal grill came with only a hook inside the lid. The slide aside lid holder greatly improves handling the lid while using the grill.

After my girlfried singed a ring in MY lawn with the hot grill lid, I decided it was time to pick up one of these. It's a pice of bent steel for about $[...], but it holds the lid just fiine. I would recommend it for sure.

Although I don't understand why the grill doesn't come equipped with a permanent lid holder that you can slide off, this handle little item works very well, and is a vital need as the hook on the lid is very clumsy.
