Comments about Garmin Garmin Nuvi 465T Trucking GPS Navigation System:
Over all I have found Garmin to be superior to most other GPS'S that I have tried I drive truck for a living and the 465T is for trucking I haven't had the chance to extensively use the 465T as of yet but so far its done as expected. I picked the Garmin 465T because of impressive reviews and my experience with Garmin procucts. I have a Nuvi 660 for my personal vehicle and love it. My personal opinion is that it doesn't get much better than Garmin. But just remember the GPS is still a go by and not a definite.

Extended trip planning is a breeze. We use it for our RV so it is used in the Truck mode. Truck mode Route option is great.
Delivery was faster than I expected.

This will be a trucker's true friend...in my opinion it is the best in the class of truck routing GPS's. It's menu program is fairly simple...the auto time zone change is handy...as well as the auto display brightening and dimming according to the ambient light. The biggest and most important convenience is, of course, keeping you routed on approved truck routes. I may not always like the paricular route...or it may not have been one that I would have chosen...but I'm confident that the route will be "truck-safe". And of course...like most gadgets...it still relies on user input...in order to fine-tune situations to your particular liking.
All in all...as a professional driver...it is money well-spent. I rely on it every single day...particularily in those less familiar areas and in major metropolitan areas. The lane assist feature in major metropolitan freeway areas makes traveling through these locations a breeze.
Major bang for the buck...more pricey than some other trucker units...but I've seen most of them in operation...and Garmin does a better job of it, and has better features and a better interface. Would I have liked it to be cheaper...of course...but it has turned out to be a good value for the money. It hasn't let me down yet...and having peace of mind has been well worth the price.
