The GPS is limited by its accuracy. In city with short distance between each intersection, it does not work well.

If you take an exit in a highway, it will detect that you have exited only after a quarter mile or so.

Make sure that it is secured on its pad, or it will fall off.

so...i bought this GPS about 1 year ago, and still works fine...very helpful on long trips,as well as short ones...but...
i live in Chicago, and more than once it lost signal in the middle of downtown...i'm not sure if its because of the tall buildings in Chicago, but it gets very frustrating when you need to make it somewhere in time and ur not sure how to get there...
oh, and the voice doesn't say street names or details like that...
other than that, its a great product...

I feel like I'd been living in the dark ages until I got the TomTom XL. We've used it to drive to and in New York City on two occassions and were incredibly impressed at how easily it navigated in the city as well as on the highway getting there. It gives you so much information that's extremely easy to read while driving. It tells you what exit to look for with plenty of advance notice, etc.It attached very easily with a mounting device right on the unit. Very Easy to use!! I love it and will never take a road trip without it again!! Great product!!
