I have owned itr for about a year now,really clean sounding,especially w/sattelite.Cons are o-ring that is suppose to give you grip around volume knob, expands & becomes super loose shortly after purchase,also(don't know if Alpine is still doing this on later models)the clear plastic over the display is domed(duh!)it reflex any amount of light,you have to move all over the cab to see it ,going down the road!If you can get over those minor details & can pick up a used one, I would recomend it.

I've bought three of these now. I put one an a 4-wheel drive vehicle and the other in two cars. It's an excellent unit, sounds great, links to the iPod with no issue with the Alpine special cord, then you stick the iPod away safe in your glove box and let the head unit take over all the controls. It works excellent and highly recommend for the price!

The volume and track controls are a bit small, but then again i have big hands.... i woudl buy it again although. great value!!

I bought this stereo for my 2004 Honda S2000. I was confused between buying this one or the CDA-9885 and finally decided to save a hundred dollars and buy the 9883. The ONLY difference is the screen on this unit is not as nice or clear as the 9885. This stereo has excellent options so you can tune to your taste. The only problem with this unit is (and from what they tell me it's an issue due to the FCC regulations)that some weaker radio stations don't come in as clear as the stock stereo in my S2000. I have lost a station which I used to listen to on this radio. If you mostly listen to CD's or your I-Pod, this will not be an issue. Overall it is still a very good Head Unit for the price with excellent quality.

Man I bought this to balance out my system. I have always loved Alpine systems. I think the bring the best out of your speakers and subs. Matter of fact I will be buying the same exact one for my other car.

i got for fast shuttle basicly. hook up i-pod and put wawy no need to touch it again . except to load it up .
