Comments about Rowenta Rowenta Steamium Professional Steam Iron:

I read some reviews that did not give this iron a top rating and I hesitated ordering it for a time. Ended up buying it anyway because it just looked great and I owned a Rowenta before and loved it. Well, this iron is absolutely wonderful to use. I have not had any problems with it leaking water or leaving water spots. The very first time I used it some tiny, dry, white flakes came out of the steam vents onto the fabric but they brushed right off and did not have that happen again. Don't know if it was something that happened because the iron had never been used and it was some type of "residue" that was trapped inside or if it was the tap water I used. I think the water is a bit hard where I live, so I switched to plain bottled drinking water. I love the narrow pointed tip on the iron for getting into and around small areas. The weight does not bother me at all, even though I do have some problems with pain in my wrist and elbow joints. The weight of the iron makes it easier getting a smooth finish without using your own strength to push the iron down. It is easy to read the temperature settings and the extra steam feature is great. Not that it's really important, but it is also a very pretty iron!
