Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

Great for confidential documents. Credit card and CD/DVD Slot with seperate bin. I use the main slot for credit cards with no jams. Very quick and quiet compaired to other units used at work and home. The size of the cuttings are smaller then a pencil eraser (DOD size cuttings)

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

I read many reviews about this microshredder before I purchased. It is indeed quiet, powerful, easy to operate, and produces small confetti-like shreds (not "dust") that are great in a compost heap. The microshredder came with plastic bags to put in the bin. Credit cards are shredded into strips and there's a small internal bin for the credit card/cd refuse. That bin can be removed permanently if you want to use the entire larger bin for paper only. I've not had any problem with overheating. However, I have used the microshredder only sporadically for document shredding and have not taxed it beyond five sheets at a time. My only wish is that the paper opening on the unit was a bit wider than nine inches. ABT Electronics had the lowest price for this microshredder at the time of my purchase. [...]I'm happy with this product and seller.

There were no surprises with this product. After reading all the reviews, we still went with this shredder. It is messy, but what do you expect with micro-cut paper. For our needs, this shredder works fine.

Service & Delivery comments:

The shredder was delivered in a timely manner. It was so well packed, it would have been an effort to have damaged it.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

i have used it a few times - each time shredding till the bin is full - then i would oil it and leave it till the next shredding session - i think it works great - the only downside i can see so far is its very messy when you have to empty the bin - it shreds so small that it goes all over the place in the bin - when you empty it - it will get messy in and around the bin on the floor etc. - other than that - its great so far -

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

Apparently well made, very quiet, if there's a jam it auto reverses to clear itself. I generally shred junk mail in envelope without opening.

It maxes out a 7 sheets per feed. Great for home or small offices, but not for high volume shredding.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

Good and quiet. It really micro-shreds nearly close to dust. So, it will get very dusty. So keep this in the garage. CD and Credit Card shreds in large size pieces as a normal shredder. Great for confidential docs. Would not use for everyday shredding.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivered on time and great price. I would buy again from ABT. Look out Amazon!

This product will shred. No more worries about ID theft with this shredder! This shredder shreds paper so fine it would be impossible to see/find anything of value. The machine is also very quiet. My previous shredder was loud and couldn't shred as fine as this one. I am glad I purchased it and would highly recommend it.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

I use this shredder for personal use so I can't comment on it's ability to shred large amounts of material. However, I have twin 13-month old babies at home and since my home office is in the next room, I always worried that the noise from my previous shredder would disturb them.
I bought the MicroShred because of its claim of quietness and I have to say that my expectations were exceeded. The MicroShred is quieter than my inkjet printer and the pieces that it cuts the paper into are miniscule. The pull-out basket is convenient, an improvement from the older model where you had to lift off the cutting head and put it somewhere while you empty the backet. The casters on the bottom are also convenient since the unit is somewhat heavier than you might expect.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

I purchased this item top replace a previous Fellowes confetti shredder which served me well. The MicorShred feature of this machine is excellant, far better than strip and confetti types. The only con is the shredding of cards is not fine enough. The shredder will get a little warm if shredding a quantity of docs. I use this shredder nearly everyday. Over-all, I am staisfied with its results. The MicroShed feature is awesome.

Service & Delivery comments:

Packed very well, double carton. Arrived in proper condition.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

My husband wanted me to get a shredder because my junk mail stack kept stacking up. I normally use scissors to cut my personal information up into unrecognizable pieces. I like to get the most for my money, so spending over $100 meant the product better be worth it.

Pros:
I am very pleased with how small of pieces the shredder cuts.
The bin is easy to empty out (scraps will get caught in the lip so you have to tap it before standing it back up)
Even though it doesn't fit on a desk top, it doesn't take up that much room on the floor.

Cons:
Credit cards end up in strips, so I don't shred my credit cards with this machine.
** most annoying part **
OVERHEATS TOO OFTEN
The sensor on the machine works great, but you have to keep letting it cool down.

Comments about Fellowes Fellowes MicroShred Shredder:

Unit works well, is very quiet. Shreds a reasonable amount of paper at a time. It does overheat with continuous use (this is noted in the instructions). When it goes in sleep mode, it takes a few seconds to wake up and start shredding. Also, some paper/ink combinations trigger a false 'touch' signal (unit has protection from fingers, etc. getting in the way). If you bend the paper away from the metallic opening, it will continue to shred.
