Comments about Denon Denon Blu-ray Disc DVD/CD Player:
I had heard that the DVD3800BCDI was slow to boot and had poor menu performance. I was pleasantly surprised to find these allegations totally unfounded. The setup for this unit was easier than any other DVD player I've owned. The image quality is absolutely excellent for both DVD and Blu-Ray discs. The on board HD Audio converter made it possible to keep my Bryston Pre/Pro and the sound quality is amazing in LPCM mode. It is not cheap, but it is definitely worth it. Buy one, you will be happy you did.

I use this Blu-Ray player with my Denon AVR4308CI receiver. Their combination while interpreting and decoding Blu-Ray, normal DVD, and CD's has been phenominal. I also purchased a Pioneer PRO-110FD plasma to work in unison with these components. I questioned my initial thinking in spending what I did on all three. I couldn't be happier with my choices! The upscaling capabilities of this Blu-Ray player have also been outstanding. I suggest that you take the "time" necessary to properly set up this player. Use the manual and follow the steps accordingly and you will be happy with the results.

This unit has lived up to all the hype...put on a Blu-Ray such as Planet Earth and strap yourself in as you feel like you are on the other end of the camera.

Read the manual or go to the forum to find out the set up details since the number of options can be overwhelming. Picture and sound quality above the rest.
