I bought this to replace my broken Phillips DVP/642. It quit working after only a year of little use. I hope the Pioneer does better. It plays Divx very well. Picture is good on my HDTV. I recommend the use of a component cable. I wish it had an HDMI output. I only gave it 3 stars for this reason. Actually, I'd have given it a 3.5 if that choice were available. It's good stuff at this point and I'd recommend it.

I have owned the older version of this DVD player for over 4 years. It still works perfectly, so I bought this one for my other TV. I love it! My favorite feature is that this player has all the navigation buttons on the front, so if you can't find your remote, you can still navigate through the DVD. The picture quality is great and you can't beat the price!
