Works and looks great with my new Samsung 1080p 61" DLP. Only problem that I have had is with the HDMI cable that came with the unit. Sometime the picture would show up all fuzzy and I would have to unplug it and plug it back in to fix it. I purchased a quality HDMI cable and have not had the problem since.

Very easy to set-up and use. Really good picture for an upconverting DVD player in this price range and having Faroudja DCDi is fantastic. I read other reviews about this player commenting on the long loading time but I have not noticed that the DVD loading time is long at all.

I have this DVD player connected via HDMI to a Samsung 4696 LCD TV. It upconverts to 1080p and after tweaking some settings, the picture is fantastic.
The menu system is slow but you only need to access it when initially setting up the player.

Now, I am a "boomer" and the eyes and ears ain't what they used to be, BUT... this combo rivals anything else I viewed and I DID shop for months prior to my purchases.
The HDMI cable(supplied) with the Samsung DVDHD960 makes this unit a one plug, turn it on and enjoy, piece of equipment.
Simply put, If you are looking for simplicity with function without needless bells and whistles, you cannot best this combo!
Plug & Play, without tearing out your hair wondering what goes where and how it works.
