Very pleased with this DVD player, I think the feature of remembering where you left off on a dvd is great.It is nice not to guess what scene you last saw and try and find where you were. I do not like the remote at all. The remote is slow to respond and is not intuitively laid out, even after using it for quite awhile I am still trying to find the function button I need. In spite of the poor remote the player is great.
ABT is great.

After spending days searching the web for a DVD player I chose this. It's easy to set up and use. Great picture. Exactly what I wanted.
The player arrived in a couple of days in a very well packed brown box. Lots of bubble wrap!

The DVD player comes with all the required cables and a nice detailed operating manual. Setup takes less than 5 minutes. But if you plan to use its high definition (1080p) with an analog-VGA projector you are out of luck. The player outputs digital signal on its HDMI connector and a simple wire-only HDMI-to-VGA adapter won't do. You need the HDFury2 adapter that costs a little more than twice as this player does. The result is very rewarding though for most DVDs. Not everything will go up to 1080p even if the player states on screen that it does.
My setup consists of the Samsung DVD-1080P9, the HDFury2, a 25-foot long high quality VGA cable and a Viewsonic PJ551D projector. Even though the projector is supposed to work up at 1080i it works at 1080p with this setup. Most movies and old TV shows look really good on a big screen. The device is not heavy and it does not give the impression of durable construction either; it's all plastic. Some .AVI movies on the USB stick played fine on it as well. My only complaint is about the remote control; it does not work at a steep angle or through reflections. Not a big deal but I don't like to stretch to aim the remote sometimes. Other than that it works fine so far.

Good up scaling dvd player at reasonable price with hdmi and coax digital out, quality of image and sound is quite good.
Missing optical out and playback of vcd and svcd.
