Ordered on a Wednesday, got it on Thursday. Amazing. Setup was a breeze. An upconverting dvd player under $100 [...] and a Sony? That's a no-brainer. Picky-picky: Maybe I'm used to Toshiba's interface, but Sony's approach to menu design on this series of dvd players is more complicated than it needs be. EX: hard to find time- remaining on a disc. That said, this unit delivers a picture that will knock your eyes out. The upconversion to 1080 on my Panasonic 56" dlp rp milks everything there is to get out of any dvd. 'Til the "HD-Ray-Ray" BS is resolved with a cheap dual format unit (probably, what?, December 2007?), this Sony unit will fill bill with no compromise.

I just bought a Sony lcd TV and upgraded my TV package to HD. After watching movies on my old DVD player, the picture was definitely not as clear and vivid as the HD channels.
I searched upscaling reviews and decided to buy the Sony DVPNS75H, our movies are now HD quality. The player is easy to setup and run, the disk loads in 25 seconds.
The player brings new life to our DVD collection.

This DVD player puts a picture on my Panasonic LCD TV that's as close to HD as you can get without being there. Pictures are clear sharp and colorful.

Bought this with our new Bravia TV. Super upscaling performance at an excellent price. Make sure you go into the menu to maximize the sound to take advantage of your digital surround.
This unit is getting rave reviews on every web community its a super deal till Blue Ray becomes affordable. Slow loading is my only issue.

Just bought this DVD player recenting and I got to say that after purchasing the HDMI(High definition multimedia cable). The picture is unbelievable and would recommend anyone to buy it. Well at least until the battle between HD disks and B-ray disks are settled. Cons about this player is that it does not play DIVX format but will play any burnt DVDs that you have as well as DL-RW. Hope you enjoy the DVD player as much as I have.

Video upscaling and sound are great with this player. Its not HD quality, but didn't expect that. No glitches after a month of use. This was purchased to replace a returned Toshiba SD-4980 which started freezing during playback on the second DVD played. Avoid that Toshiba model.
