Only reason I can't call it durable or consistent is that I've only had it a month. Thus far, however, I am totally pleased with the unit.

I own a 32" LCD TV and this DVD player produces the best image quality on my LCD. Using component out for connecting it to my LCD. Cannot be more happy than I am. Really great DVD player.

No SVIDEO output is kinda a bummer. It's hooked up component for now but in the future it could be hooked up to an older TV and svideo would have been nice.
