Although I've only owned it for a few weeks I found this unit superb for transferring VHS tapes to DVD. The setup was very simple and the quality of the recorded discs are excellant. I'm looking forward to utilizing it's other features which are plenty considering the low price. This unit is fantastic in my opinion.

I really like the flexiblity of using different disc formats. Good quality, even on LP setting. Manual is not clear on how to use thumbnails and menus keep asking if I want to do the thing I am trying to do two or three times before it will do it.
Playback is easier on regular DVD player once you have finalized the disc

Supports 2,4,6,8 hour recording on all types of DVDs (R-,R+,RW, single layer and dual layer). Quality on 2 and 4 hour recording outstanding. Quality on 6 and 8 hour recording marginal, but expected with the compression required to store that much. A great product! Just what we were seeking in a DVD-R.
