I have recorded a dozen or more movies with no problems. I use DVD+R for recording. So far I am very satisfied with product.

My first was a VCR/DVD recorder of decent quality, then a Toshiba DR5 which is very nice. The next was a Toshiba with a BIG hard drive and many features I didn't use so I sold it and bought this one which I am REALLY pleased with!

This product makes it easy to archive video from any source to dvd. The price is so low, there is really no reason to put off transfering all your old VHS tapes to dvd and finally retire the VCR.
