I would like to see the instructions simplified
for those of us in our senior years. For ex-
ample connecting the vhs to the recorder and
then how to use it for playing tapes on the
tv and also how to record tapes to discs.

I have only had this deck a short time, but I love it. I have been able to record all kinds of movies and TV shows beautifully. I have even been able to archive HD shows that were on my DVR. I have only used 2 hour mode so far and it looks quite good. I bought it because of mostly favorable reviews that I found on the web, and I'm really glad I did.

Digital reception is excellent. Creating the menu for a DVD is difficult. Other DVD players don't see the menu.

for the money a great unit. Abt a great online retailer. buy with confidence from them. unit easy to use and setup. manual could be better but still a great unit. be warned if you have a harmony logitech remote you will have to learn this units remote controls as info not yet in their database.
