Comments about GE GE Smart Digital Converter Box:
Product qualifies for $40 coupon. Will bring in downconverted DTV signal with proper antenna. Has extremely poor feature set which may be fault of govt. specifications. It is odd that 1080i signal is actually reduced to 480i with this device so that only a very old TV would not be disappointing. This unit appears to be as good as others at $40 coupon level. If one requires HDTV output, ease of channel configuration, broadcast level channel guide, etc. then skip these devices.
