I use this camera most of the time. It's easy and fun,but sometimes I feel that is a little too heavy, after longer time of using. I can't take tripod with me everywhere, so it can be a little challenging. Overall great buy and value.

I use the camera at this point, mainly for photographs of the kids in their sports activities inside and outside. The Canon EOS 40D performs admirably in all venues. I did a ton of research before buying this camera. I also borrowed a friend's Canon Rebel and for action photographs it was miles ahead of the Rebel.
Delivery was a huge problem. The camera was shipped by UPS. However, they would only deliver to my house (during business hours). They would not leave a card or a pickup card. Rather when we called we were told that we had to be home between 1300 and 1700 hours. Hello- I work and I can't take a day off to wait for a camera. So we called and ABT changed the shipping instructions to allow us to deliver it to my office. Wrong. It was not delivered. After another call to UPS we were told that ABT had not changed the instructions. We called ABT and they told us no, UPS hasn't changed the shipping instructions. Finally, we were told-If you're not home it won't be delivered. So-I canceled the order-ordered a new camera from ABT with specific instructions for my wife to pick it up at the UPS office. All in all it took about 3 1/2 weeks before I got the camera. This was pretty ridiculous. I was frustrated in that I never got a straight answer from ABT. I am in a small town and everyone at the UPS office knows me. However, I had to contact UPS at a 1-800 number so of course they didn't know me.

I wanted something close to the price/performance of a D300 but at the budget price of a D80. This camera had gotten great reviews in all the photo magazines so I decided to give it a shot. Other than the difference in layout and ergomatics between canon and Nikon I found this camera very comfortable to hold (more than the Rebels).
I have only used the kit 28-135 lens, so far it has done more than impress me with the fast silent autofocus + image stabilization all in one for a kit lens.
There's not much bad to say about this camera since there are so many positives. I wish the secondary control dial could've been mounted on the front like the nikon so I can make all the adjustments with my right hand.
This is the perfect camera for a beginner (if you have the funds) to a professional (as a backup camera). It has all the latest technology built into this housing.
Delivery was prompt and in perfect condition. Abt electronics has never let me know with any return or service question. I have recommended them to all my friends and coworkers for any purchase.

Robust and easy camera to use, perfect for variety of occasions. I am by no means an expert and find this camera to fulfill all my needs as amateur. Great product.

I love this camera.The only thing lacking is that you cannot preview the LCD before taking the picture( like most point and shoots allow you to do) Other than that, you will not be disappointed.
