I am only using this camera to take pictures of my children, but it is fabulous. The photos truly look 'real', bright and colorful. Kids in action are easily focused and photos are not blurry. I have only been using it for two weeks, but it is shaping up to be a great point and shoot.

Super camera. This was purchased for the use of taking pictures for our marketing campaign and for taking pictures to highlight students for our 'Career Success Starts Here' on the OCPS Career and and Tech Education Facebook page. It has proven to be a really good purchase and makes me look like a fantastic photographer to my colleagues.

Great little camera. I just took it to Italy for 2 weeks and was very pleased. For the first time traveling in 45 years I left my SLR behind, and didn't miss it (well, maybe just once or twice).

Comments about Canon Canon Black PowerShot 10 Megapixels Digital Camera:
I bought this cam because my old Canon Ixus40 (2004) is out of time. I read several reviews, test artciles and checked some comments on youtube. Finally I went to a store to check it out in real.
I just gonna mention the spots of bother, because any further comments on the picture quality and so on will be just a repetition of all the previous comments and articles. In one sentence: Image quality is very good, manual options are great, you can change aperture, ISO, shutter speed and whitebalance manually.
1. I just can recommend everybody at first to check out the handling of the cam. The scroll wheel is partly hidden inside the casing and the force you need to rotate the wheel into the next position is unusual high. With freshly creamed hands like on the beach, or sweating skin during summer it might become an issue.
2. During the first test-shots I tested the flash and I must say the mechanism to pop it out is quite strong. It can easily lift your left index-finger while holding the cam, so the first time it happend to me I wanted to decrease my finger-pressure on the case at the flashs place. But in the same moment I felt how the cam was turning already to fall down. I grabed it in that second a little bit stronger preventing it to slip out of my hands.
So I think this can easily happen to someone who is not familiar with that cam and wants to shot in the automatic mode. You must be cautious about using the flash.
3. Unfortunately the design-guys have changed the side-edges to a rounded shape. That's why you cannot place the cam vetically on a table for example to take a pic of yourself by using the self-timer. It falls forward on the objective (because of its weight). So you need to stabilize it by putting something slim enough between the objective and the table (a nokia 6300 fits quite perfect;) ).
4. The strap to secure the cam to your wrist doesn't have any "zipper" to tight the strap. It remains loose. My old Ixus40 does have this "zipper" on the strap. You can tight it very well to the wrist and you can even drop the cam from your hand by holding your arm down. The strap stays on your wrist-that's how it should be always!
Despite from these 4 points, I like the cam and I gonna keep it, because I cannot find any different cam, which makes so nice pictures by being so slim.

Use on world wide travel- Indoors & out. Just received it . Have another Canon Auto Focus which is very good.
Tested most of the features. Everyone worked very well.
Photos were excellent! Indoor auto focus low light pics. were great.
There is little not to like about this camera. Ease of use, light weight, compact. quality build.
Flash location requires getting use to.
Battery life after extensive testing was somewhat limited. Would suggest purchasing a second one if you shoot large amounts in a single session.

The s95 is the best point and shoot, compact type slr camera out there right now. Looked at several different models, but this one was the best for a high quality lens while still actually being compact enough for portability. [...]

Comments about Canon Canon Black PowerShot 10 Megapixels Digital Camera:
I didn't want a bigger zoom because image quality suffers and also can't have a lens that is good for low life. If you want a camera that is extra good in low light, then you can't also have a long zoom lens. Zooming adds grain anyway on these type of cameras. My video is always in focus so don't see it as a big deal that it doesn't refocus as most don't anyway. 720p is excellent and takes up much less card memory than 1080p.

Comments about Canon Canon Black PowerShot 10 Megapixels Digital Camera:
I take alot of pictures indoors of my family and this camera is perfect for that. I am also pleased it has the feature to shoot in black and white. The only cons for me are having only a 4x zoom and getting used to the pop-up flash.

Comments about Canon Canon Black PowerShot 10 Megapixels Digital Camera:
For the above reviewer, did you research any digital photo camera? Name me any, besides DSLR's, that give you zoom for videos? All the specs are clearly stated in the information. If you don't understand how to read it, don't blame the camera. This is one of the best pocket cameras you can buy right now, hands down. If you want a pocket video camera, none will give you zoom for video. not even Flip.

Comments about Canon Canon Black PowerShot 10 Megapixels Digital Camera:
I really wanted to keep this camera, but the fact that it doesn't have optical zoom AND auto focus and manual focus during video recording has forced me to return it. I wanted a pocket-able camera for my new baby. This camera has the perfect size and image quality. Why Canon crippled the video on this camera puzzles me given my lowly A720 from 3 years ago can do both, and I had great fun with it during our honeymoon. I can live without optical zoom, but no focusing of any kind during video recording is unacceptable to me.
