Comments about Canon Canon 14.1 Megapixels Black Digital Camera:
Yes, this is a powerful zoom camera; however, the photos at this range are not sharp or clear. The colors are not "faithful" to the scene. It has trouble with the reds and oranges ("hot" colors).
I'm perplexed as to how the colors can be spot-on one day and off the next. Sharper contrast one day; off the next. I'm not one to play with camera settings, but this camera has me searching for answers.
All previous Canon products have been faithful. This one's inconsistencies baffle me.
The camera itself works fine. The zoom-while-videoing feature is awesome and you do have a great zoom lens. I can focus on a bee pollinating an orange blossom one moment, and then pull in the snowcapped trees on a distant mountain peak, the next. But the quality of the photo at zoom is too warm/fuzzy to be much good.

Comments about Canon Canon 14.1 Megapixels Black Digital Camera:
I've had this camera for about 2 months and I really like it. I had the canon sx20 before this one, and the sx30IS is better. The optical zoom is exceptional and the stabilization system is amazing. I am not a pro, but so far for me, this camera has performed very well in a variety of applications, from indoor people pics to scenics. for the money, its a great camera.

Comments about Canon Canon 14.1 Megapixels Black Digital Camera:
I thought just because this is a "Canon" it would be a great camera...I was wrong. the image quality is very noisy and not even good. I think Canon should have used a 10mpx sensor in this camera and not 14.1mpx. The reach on the 35X is great, however, when focusing; the lens retracks out of nowhere and it takes time to zoom and focus again. I had a Nikon P100 before this and I made a mistake replacing it with this camera, where the P100 was taking much better images.
